No, the videos out today including the ATC audio show the coast guard plane was told to proceed to the holding point at taxiway C5. The Dash-8 entered the runway as the Airbus landed.

The goal is to have everyone off the plane within 90 seconds using half the escape slides. The JAL crew got everyone off safely using only 3 of the 8 slides - one of the engines could not be shut off and the engines were on fire, so they only had the front two and left rear available. Amazing work.

Have to agree with a lot of the comments about it being a disaster if it was other than in Japan - you could count on the aisles being blocked by campaigners getting their bags, or sovereign citizens demanding their rights and so on. The Russian plane that caught fire after landing a couple of years ago had many passengers die due to people in front trying to get stuff out of the overhead lockers while others were pushing people out of the way etc.

NEWS LTD is so unethical with all of it's headlines. 100% clickbait sensationalism. Writing that the plane exploded, showing the aftermath and mentioning that 13 or so Australians were onboard. I hate that organization.

ABC News more tasteful making it abundantly clear in it's headline and sub heading that all passengers including Australians on the airliner escaped.

My 23 month old son really likes his Vegemite toast in the morning. In our summer I have a good supply through my work, but winter things dry up and Im left to source my own.

Not sure of the price in Aus but we just bought a 220 gram Vegemite for 12 euros... which is about 18-19 AUD. This will last us 4-6 weeks.

My Mum is coming over in a couple of months and thinks Im joking when I say if she can bring a couple of Kegs of Vegimite. Im not joking.
