Picture this!
My neighbour's a good bloke & he thinks I'm a top bloke too because I've always welcomed him over for BBQs etc........!
His wife has left him so he's doing it tough & needs to sell his house. Two years ago it was easily worth $1M. Now in the current market it's only worth 800K max.

Best offer he got at auction was 750K.
Because I'm renting my place & looking to buy, I thought I could kill 2 birds with one stone by buying the house.

I don't want to damage my relationship with him so I offer him the $1m it was worth 2 years ago. I could have paid him 800K max & he would have had no choice but to sell it to me but I really like the fact that he thinks I'm a top bloke.

Yeah right.........................f..k off!

Your ridiculous story, but with your neighbours house being passed in at auction, now, you know your neighbour has to sell, and the real estate agent has said that you are the only one that can buy it, now you being the stingy f*#k that you are, think to yourself, he can accept 200k and be happy about it, plus, and here's the kicker, he can bloody well take over the rent on your current crappy dwelling (White)

My story is more accurate

What about this....

Swan get: Tippet
Crows get: Pick 11 + White
Blues get: Parker + Pick 22

Blues lose pick 11
Swans lose Parker, 22 and White
Crows lose Tippet

If the Swans are trying to use us as a middle man I dare say they'll have to give us a pretty convincing deal such as that to make us interested.

Parker, 22 and White might seem like a lot. But really, White is useless and probably won't play another game at the Swans. Parker is a talented kid and 22 a speculative late pick. I don't think that's too much to give up when the Swans rate Tippet highly enough to pay him the best part of $1m a year.

Fair and balanced just like fox news.

Let's say we stick with this analogy?

If your $40,000 car is leaving you the car only wants to be owned by one bloke.

But the bloke is only offering $10,000
Your choice is accept $10,000 for your car or get nothing still loose your car and that bloke is still a very good chance to get your car anyway.

What do you do?
Well the way a lot of Adelaide fans are looking at is you're a car salesman. OK, you let one guy have a $40,000 car for $10,000, but people hear about it and now everyone who comes into the lot is offering unders because they hear you're a pushover. Whereas you send him to the PSD, you might lose this car, but you'll make sure you get a fair price for the rest of 'em. That's the thinking anyway.

Sydney aren't really trading for Tippett, they're trading to remove that small chance of someone picking him up before them in the PSD. This is why you get the Sydney folks who see #22 as being generous and Adelaide fans ready to riot. Different perspectives on the deal.

Yeah, the prospect of losing in a trade is hard to swallow, eh?
The thing is, we're in this situation by choice and can get out of it anytime we want. You are losing one way or another.

Enjoying your club needlessly dragging this on for another week and then accepting a pick on Friday.
