Would hopefully have 4-5 good years left which will get him to around 32-33. Same DOB as me which is actually a scary thought.

It all depends on whether Sydney think they are in the Premiership Window or not.

We've seen how a lack of KPD has hurt the team this year.

Not sure whether Paddy will retun to football and Tom seems also to be injury prone.

Barrass is definitely the Best KPD who Sydney can realistically target.

Any club would take him. I’d be happy enough to offer up Freo’s first pick (hopefully anywhere from 6-10) for him. May was 28 and we paid pick 6 for him. Would be happy to do it all again.

Yeah tend to agree. If the Eagles are happy to trade him - and they should because he is worth something and won't be there when they contend again. At this stage the players who will be there when they contend again are in primary school.

Just a matter of matching up what club needs him and what they can pay.

Can the Eagles & Barras just mutually tear up his contract so he becomes a free agent? Not sure if he could get pick 2 for compo but the AFL has been known to offer amazing deals as silent pp's in the past?

According to a certain clubs recruiter, Dogs, Essendon, Sydney and Brisbane are the 4 clubs in his ear, his open to trade and the Eagles will consider it if the offer is good enough.

Top 10 pick would probably get it done.

How is Busslinger tracking? Any chance of straight swap?

I think the motivation for shopping Barrass is the aim of being able to land Curtin whilst also taking Reid.

Buss needs size but the skill is 100% there. Could see him back in WA sooner than later, think he’ll make a very good intercepting defender.

Top 10 pick wont get it done, it might get it done if Barrass was uncontracted, but the Eagles dont have to let him go. Having him there would be incredibly valuable for the other young defenders coming through.
A top 6 maybe or a 7-10 with a decent player on top

28 year old on a long contract, never AA. I would be filthy if my club gave a top 10 pick for him.
Depends on if your club saw him as the missing piece between winning a flag an not winning one.

It makes sense for the Swans, due to the McCartin's concussion issues.

If all a club think they are missing a KPD, and all it takes is a pick around 5-8, which they have, then they'd be happy to take themselves out of the first round of one draft for a guaranteed gun like Barrass.

Clubs do it all the time.
