Trade wise, there is very little difference in what North can offer (in terms of picks) compared to Carlton, so I don't see why some Swans fans are cracking the sads really (unless ita issues relating to their own personal dislike of Carlton which is understandable given John Elliott tried to kill off the Swans in 1993)
What happens if they offer a player we like and your not willing to?

A heap can go down regardless of his heart

Papley will be a Blue.

Beatson knows what SOS did to young Reid and would probably like to get this trade done quickly before SOS sets the Swans back 5 years.
While I agree with the premise, I think the Swans staff deserve more credit than that. Master Justin was a special case of incompetency meets nepotism. Perfect (from our perspective at least).

Young Reid!

Beatson and Harley are pretty shrewd operators and are not on work experience like young Reid ;)

Fair enough, this is why I said we cannot rule North out getting Papley. Going to be a long trade period.

"if he wants to go. If he does then it will be done. "

If Paps wants out. It gets done.

Gibbs was happy to stay.

Nice try.
You really are new to this arnt you SON , Now i have attempted not to embarrass you so just go away
Papley is contracted and there are 2 clubs bidding so "I want to go home" Thing does not work

Sydney : If you want to go home Arden st is now home if not you are contracted and we love you
Simple

Ah yes, because personal insults are evidence of superior arguments on online forums "Son".

*If* Papley wants out, if Papley nominates a specific team, it will get done.

Pleeeenty of recent examples. Any example it didn't occur was because the player was happy to stay either way. ie. Kelly.

Otherwise you'll face a Cam McCarthy or Ryder type situation and nobody wants that.

Papley can nominate all he likes without Sydney's signature he cant leave the harbour
If North offer Sydney a better deal then Sydney could say to Papley its north or sydney

think you need to think about these things before commenting, He is contracted and sydney need to agree
so yes you are competing for Sydney's signature

North can offer 2 firsts + LDU and it still wouldn't matter if he didn't want to go there.

If he wants the Blues it'll get done, most likely involving pick 8. The trimmings will depend on how desperately he wants out. If he's going to kick up a stink they'll let him go cheaper, doesn't seem like that type at all though.

Who are the best small forwards in the league? Excluding marking small/medium forwards like Elliot or Greene and mid-forwards like Zorko.

Cameron
Walters if he counts
Breust
Papley
Tippa
Cripps

Hard list to do
only a kid but Rozee is a gun.
Gresham
Fantasia when he isnt injured
Stephenson

I should point out that just because Papley will ask to be traded to Carlton does not necessarily mean he will get traded there, and there is always a chance he ends up at North if the Blues and Swans cannot work out a deal.

There is still a lot to play out in this.. But it's not a case of being sold to the Highest Bidder (like they do in the NBA)
Thanks for that clarification. I was dying to hear your latest intel.

Whether this changes the draft pick cost or not, North entering basically just added $200k per year on Papley's contract IMO. Don't know how they always have cash to splash, seems like they're linked to every high priced player.

And that is exactly what i have posted but the north interest now could include the trimmings as they will be a viable alternative for papley in the go home scenario. All i am saying is that North entering the race for papley will dilute carltons hand to a degree than if carlton were the only team and papley wanted to go home.

If it's Carlton or North, then either of their firsts for him is just ridiculous overs. No value whatsoever for either club in that deal.

Papley has 4 years of a contract to go and has not asked to go or to go to a particular club.

But still love hearing all these facts being spat out by carlton fans.

Geelong held kelly to his contract

West coast held Mitch brown to his contract who ended up re-signing with them after that as well

Sydney hold the whip

Did you purposely ignore the third paragraph of my post?

You got Instagram? He's hanging out with 2 Carlton players at the moment.

His girlfriend works 10 minutes from our club.

How are those 2 facts?

You got your facts right. Now you just need to work on your logic.
