Ask a Richmond supporter, they will have plenty to say, they'd be wrong , but they will still have plenty to say.

There have been some great performers in finals from all clubs, but the Gaz man has to be mentioned and anyone saying otherwise needs to go back and watch the tape

Darren Goldspink for Essendon in the 2001 PF

As mentioned earlier Burgoyne, Mitchell and Johnson in the 2013 PF

Also Selwood in the 2014 QF, was almost keeping Geelong in that game singlehandedly for 2 and half quarters
I do think despite some Hawk fan's angst about the umpiring in that 2001 PF, it merely would have seen Geelong probably chasing a much bigger margin than 96 points to set the record GF margin, the Lions were white hot with a 16 game winning streak in 2001 and the tired Hawks playing a 4th final would have been spiflicated.

Another memorable finals effort was John Mossop's 7 goals against the Pies in the 1981 QF, and Stephen Reynoldson's best ever game, having only turned 19 that week. It was disappointing for all Cat fans that this was his high point of his career, injuries and just perhaps not being quite into it meant he played a solid 10-year career ending at the Bears, but after that first season he was Geelong's great white hope wearing the 17 vacated by Sam Newman after his retirement in 1980.

Sumich kicked 8 and 6 goals in the two finals against Geelong in 1992 as well, his half-time snap with his body-weight totally against where his kick was aimed was a poison arrow to Geelong's hopes and a huge fillip to the Eagles in that GF. But 14 in two games was decisive.

For Eagles Id have Sumich 8 goals v Geelong in the 1992 2nd Semi Final

Just when the a game was finally brought back to a manageable deficit, Sumich would kicked multiple goals to break it wide open again.

Always was a headache in finals for Geelong. Averaged 5½ goals per game.

Brereton's 5 goals and 17 possessions on his debut was not a bad effort for the hawks in the '82 first semi final. Probably the best debut in a final.
