Dangerfield are you kidding me

J Riewoldt
S Pendlebury
A Walker
J Kennedy
A Edwards

Every time i see these guys kick for goal i dont often see them miss

Thats in no particular order
Replace Pendlebury with LeCras, and maybe Walker with Westhoff.
Jack, sure 38:10 is incredible (almost 80%), but don't forget Dustin Martin who has kicked 16:7 (~70%) so far this year.
Were all their goals from set shots this year?

Daniel Bradshaw is a very very good set shot. Jonathan Brown is too, perfect technique. Tends to excel from the 45+ range though IMO. Kicks the important goals too so handles the pressure well. May not be top 5 for set shot accuracy overall, but I would imagine he would be most people's top 5 for "Who I want to be kicking for the game after the siren" list.

Best set shot aty Geelong IMO is Andrew Mackie. It's a small smaple size for him, but I don't think I've seen him miss, and when he takes them, they are regulary from outside 50.

Not saying top 5 in the AFL, for me that's

1. M. Lecras
2. J. Riewoldt
3. A. Edwards
4. S. Pendlebury
5. J. Brown

last quarter crows vs wce: dangerfield has set shot 25m out on 45 degree angle to bring the margin back to 6 points.

result: out on the full and west coast win by 39.

no thanks. he'll be a great player in time, but i wouldn't put him in my top 5.

For the Saints I'd probably want either Goddard or Siposs lining up for goal if my life depended on it. Kosi isn't a bad shot for goal either.

From other clubs Ling, LeCras, J Brown and Ablett all seem like pretty good shots at goal.

Mathew Stokes is going at an even 70% this year and 67% over his career.

Chappy was always the one for me but he's been a bit shakier than usual this season.

Don't know what Jurrah's record is goals/behinds/OOF but my perception of him is he very rarely misses and has great mechanics on his set shot.

Just doesn't get enough of the pill in a set shot situation.

I would go

1. Aaron Edwards (hardly ever misses)
2. Mark Lecras
3. Andrew Walker (fantastic all year)
4. Jack Riewoldt
5. Brendan Goddard (personal preference is the best kick in the league IMO)

Andrew Swallow is pretty accurate to as someone people might not think of.

5 people I wouldn't want to kick for my life would be

1. Lindsay Thomas
2. Nick Riewoldt
3. Lachie Hansen
4. Buddy Franklin (kicks goals but very inaccurate)
5. Stephen Milne (not a great set shot)

No Cloke here?

Go Trav!

Well it used to be Daniel Bradshaw...

But for now...

1. Colin Sylvia (never seems to miss a set shot - will probably get shot down for that)
2. Josh Kennedy
3. Andrew Walker
4. Gary Ablett
5. Jack Riewoldt

From the Dogs:

Will Minson (had this exact shot vs Richmond to tie the game couple of years back. Nailed it. Has a great set shot for a ruckman)

Gilbee (just an excellent kick)

Gia (pretty accurate at goal, especially from that range)

Not sure who I'd have as top 5 in the AFL though.
