I think given it was Night 1, the chances of him being hit with a hex or frame was quite low, right? Oh wait was it Night 2?

I think the silence is more indicative of being the Jester if anything. The aim is to be lynched.

Framer (Mafia): A skilled counterfeiter who manipulates information. Choose one person to frame each Night. A Sheriff will see the target as suspicious, and an Investigator will see them as a "Framer, Jester, or Hex Master". Frames last until the Framed player is investigated. Can not target Mafia members. [DEF = Nil , ATT = Nil]

Hex Master (Coven): A spell slinger with a proficiency in hexes. Unique role. You may choose to hex a player each Night. A Sheriff will see the target as suspicious, and an Investigator will see them as a "Framer, Jester, or Hex Master". Hexes last for the remainder of the game. If all non-Coven players left alive are Hexed, they will all be dealt an Unstoppable Attack. With the Necronomicon, your hexes become Astral (you do not visit the target) and you deal a Basic Attack to everyone you hex. Can not hex Coven members. [DEF = Nil , ATT = Nil]

I'm afraid it's legit...Fridge was either framed or hexed. Unlucky result this early.

At least we now know for sure we have one of the above roles in the game and they targeted fridge.

Yeah it's an invitation of some sort (be it via lynch or a visit at night). Clearly a far better player than he's letting on, though with lots of newbies it might be easy to fall for it.
