I was at the game Newnes won with a kick after the siren…in 2020 I think? My Dad and bro are Dockers members and invited me along. We were sitting behind the goals, in line with Newnes, so we knew as soon as the ball was kicked it was going through. I jumped up and said ‘he’s got it!’…mostly because Newnes was a pretty ordinary kick, so I was genuinely surprised. I’ll never forget the look of crushing defeat on my bro’s face. I almost felt sorry for him. Needless to say I haven’t been invited to watch any games with them since.
