Both great but believe it from an eye witness of his games from the very first - Daicos was not simply a class above he was in a different category.

He was a legend with two crook feet who had to be exiled to the forward line.

But if not for those feet he would have been an all time superstar in the pivot.

Watch some early vision of the marvel playing in the pivot and if you can drag your eyes away from his mastery look at the faces of his opponents - equal parts awe and total despair. If you could watch the coaches box like today's vision you would see what many a pies supporter saw then, opposition coaches tearing their hair out and throwing temper tantrums.

Those of us who got to see him play live were privileged.

He was a legend, living in Tas I didnt get to see him much, but as a kid I remember begging my parents to take me to Melbourne so i could watch the pies but especially to watch Daics, thankfully my parents were compliant, saw him a couple of times in my late teens and early twenties as well (didnt have to take the parents) only got to see him play 8 or 9 times but yeh felt privileged, he will always be my favourite all time player

I reckon we should draft him, would be better than some on our list

FFS, Collingwood 2010,11 was like many "system based" premiership teams. A few genuine stars but a lot of otherwise good players made to look far better than they were due to the ascendant system.

Not sure I can think of many other statements on BF that I agree more with than these. Sums up what we had in 2010-11 perfectly.
