doubt we would do that, i only want to get schache if we arent getting ripped off. I dont want to pay the slightest bit overs for him, he hasn't shown that much at this stage of his career.

Though Feels a Massive Needs

Most Brisbane fans seem to feel that Schache and 18 or 19 for 6 is fair value and I tend to agree.
That's not to bad, i guess if we got Schache and we were confident in his abilities over this years KP players then we could use pick 18 on someone like Ed Richards.

I worry though because a lot of people don't really rate Schache to much. I know Knightmare prefers Balta over him

Knightmare is Fantastic but not the Only Person that Talks about this Stuff

He does but we can't just get him based on his a need, we need to be confident he can develop and fill that need for the next 10 years and not just be another Jesse White/Quinton Lynch type

True. IF we think he can Become what he Showed at UnderAge level then we pay that Price

Open to getting Schache for the right deal.... but if he is a bit fragile at the moment then I can't see him moving to the highest profile sporting club in the nation. Under performing at a big club, It just adds to the existent pressure...

My point has been from the first post on this topic, that this is simply about talent versus exposed form in each case - both players have talent, and Schache is being doubted on exposed form as was WHE.
Looking beyond exposed form, to underlying talent, can be a problem for many.
WHE had exposed form as a genuine best 22 player though. Nobody doubted he would be a best 22 player if he was traded in, it was the level of impact he'd have that was debated. Everyone knew he could be a legitimate impact player on his day too. Once again, it was his body, not his talent that was in doubt, whereas Schache is not a best 22 player at Brisbane currently and may not be a best 22 player in round 1 for us either.

If you want to make an apt comparison in regards to talent versus form Aish is more on the money. Both players had solid first years (Aish stellar), both had lousy second years and at the point of trade were/are not best 22 players. Two years later and Aish is still not best 22. The same thing could easily happen with Schache, and people are right to question paying a premium for him. It's called learning from past mistakes.

Another option because i heard Richmond have cooled on Schache is:

Trade 6 to Richmond for 15 + 17
15 for Schache
17 on Ed Richards

Thoughts?

My only concern here is giving the reigning premiers pick 6, could be dangerous. Other than that i think it's a fair deal all round

If Brisbane don't want to part with pick 12 this year, we should only offer pick 6 + 36 for Schahe and pick 18.
If Brisbane are willing to part with pick 12 this year, we then offer pick 6 = 2018 2nd rounder for schcahe and pick 12.
I'm actually starting to come to terms with Apex's deal,if we are that confident on Schache living up to his potential then we get their pick 18 which they would accept i would think, then we dont really need to draft a KPF and go for Ed Richards.

He has kicked more goals than any other forward 21 or younger. Playing one out
i love how people have conveniently selected 21 as the cut off age for a young forward. And playing one out? - doesn't that mean it's likely he's been given more opportunity than most other forwards his age?

Pretty certain if you pole most neutrals Moore would be lucky to get into the top 5 young key forward prospects in the game atm.

That's where we differ.

The value of Schache and all players traded-in of course is the issue - I am warming to the idea of trading for him, on the basis that he has the talent.
Getting his hunger back for the game is the huge unknown, but I have some confidence that as with HOWE, and VARCOE we may be able to get more out of him than his previously club.

All that said, a straight swap for pick 6 is definitely overs.

Not sure Schache is a list priority unless we intend to move Moore to the back half and he is exceedingly cheap.

I am happy to go in with Grundy, Moore and Cox as our talls next year. What we need is players and structures that complement them up forward. To me that means Elliott and Faz plus whoever will provide the best pace and tackle intensity.

If they intend on trading their firsts out, they'll make sure they have enough points to secure Naish. If they can secure a second round pick during the trade period to do that then they will. It might require them to get creative and trade a future pick, but they'll do it if it means they'll get better value than just burning a first rounder on Naish.

understand all that. they don't have many to push to get a second. miles isn't worth it. my point is it takes a lot of mid round picks to make up the points. Like everyone they'll be avoiding trading next years picks.

St kinda list manger has said clubs are interested in there two firsts and there open to it for the right offer, hope we have inquired
What do we want with picks 7 and 8 when we got 6? I cannot see Saints offering both for pick 6.
