Pretty optimistic to think that any trade targets would be confirmed, or indeed any deals for players getting dealt. He’ll likely speak in generalities except when discussing Treloar and even then he’d be careful not to publicly demean him or burn bridges.

My issue with the proposal of turning 5 and 8 into pick 2 is that we are effectively trading Treloar + a future first round pick for a kid who has never played before.

He may be all he promises to be... but its a bloody huge gamble to take when we are supposedly in a window

I don't recall us being busy early on during the trade period so it'd be a change for us. I'm hoping whatever is happening with Treloar gets settled early.

If we’re in discussions with them about our NGA/FS scenarios and a possible trade of first rounders for our mutual benefit, I’d be pretty livid if an early bid came from them.

8 spots up this year and we'd get to use it. Hopefully only about 12 spots down next year, or more relevantly however many points that is. I'd do it.
 
Found it interesting that as soon as Buckley responded to Edmund's tweet on Monday, the Trade Radio account made a comment about it being the first we'd heard out of Collingwood in the last 2 weeks or whatever.

Maybe was true, but maybe questioning Bucks' integrity was a tactic used to force a comment.

Seems strange that we've gone from no comments to Guy now going on Trade Radio tomorrow? Maybe their plan of "if you don't tell us what's happening, we'll make it up" worked all along...

Edmund's reputation definitely took a hit though.

Not a huge fan, but if he comes cheap I'm interested. Only 22 years old, talls take a while to come on and she's shown a bit, albeit in patches.

It’s pointless in that we can get an extra player in via another first rounder.
We don’t need to upgrade in this manner.

Absolutely, same age, outside tank for inside grunt, don't think he likes being played as a defender but still averaging more disposals than Flippa when you take disposal efficiency into account.

I've seen people in this thread really amped about him coming on trade radio, saying hopefully we finally get some answers. And they hope he's asked the hard questions. What is going on? I hope he gives us nothing, and I hope he doesn't get any hard questions! I'm kind of actually nervous that he's going on there and prefer he didn't.

The other issue is that adelaide are going to take macca with pick one, so it would be pointless to trade for pick 2

Correct me if I'm wrong but it'll be Riley Beveridge, Cal Twomey and Mitch Cleary that interview him. The softest trio of all time. I'm sure they'll just ask him an open-ended question like "Can you explain to our listeners what's happening with Adam Treloar?" and I'm sure he'll just say it's a sensitive topic, which he hopes he can shed more light on in 8 days time.

I actually reckon I've only heard him talk once or twice since he came on board.
