This is a ridiculous suggestion. Like i pointed out before, you think it sends a bad message to trade out an underperforming kid? Try trading out a respected, hard working leader who everyone loves, for his only mishap in 10+ years, and see how that works out for you.

Absolute lunacy.
Not at all. If anything, players at the end of their careers are more expendable.

Who has the most years left in their career to give to the club?
Who should be more mature and know better?
Who should be showing the most leadership during lockdowns and pandemic?
And who will be at the club for our next shot at a flag?

The only lunacy is your willingness to give players a free pass if they’ve been at the club for ten years.

How can we justify trading Stephenson but keeping De Goey and Sidebottom? Both of them would be on more money and old enough to know better...
Spot on, when do our elder statesmen on the decline take a hair cut to ensure the future champs can be accommodated in our once fine club.

If the club is going through a full on rebuild, then yes a Sidebottom trade is what would make sense, thats not the situation.

The situation is they obviously don’t believe Jaidyn has displayed the mentality/work ethic to become a player we want around the club.

Im happy to wait and see how Jaidyns career turns out before i call this a bad trade or not. We’ll see if it was justified

I'm curious as to how many list sots we will have to fill next season?
Surely Mihocek and Wilson and even Keane get pushed on to primary lists?

Ive been reading allot of Buckley hate from this, but he would have hardly anything to do with the salary cap issues, its all from list management. Our issues stemmed from:
- Trading and paying Beams overs
- Wells and Mayne over 500k p/y,
- Cox on too much money
- Flip overpaid

its a combo of this which has snowballed and caused allot of backended and trigger contracts, its this BS which led us here, and i doubt the coach has anything to do with it
