so we are paying the salary of what should be a solid best 22 contributor for the life of the contract. **** we hopeless.

so 13 and 15 from giants for next years first they will probably do. It’ll be a low pick we take 4 players this year in the top 20 and nick Daicos next year.

Visions, I agree with you, these moves were made for more than TPP issues. If these trades has solved this problem, but we have no idea re Beams/Langdon, you can be sure we are already working on FA for this time next year ( Merrett ).
Does nothing for us season 2021, the feeling is as flat as losing a big game or final.

Sorry, if this has been posted. I actually feel okay about the trades today. A little disappointed we lost Atu and Stevo but life moves on.

Have two future second rounders for Daicos next year. Can now trade future 1st into this years draft for additional picks.

Extracting 14 from WB was a bonus.

Now have a lot of cap space next year to have a crack at number 7 in the black and red through FA.

The damage done this trade period can be traced back to a handful of massive contract blunders:
Mayne 4-year deal on big $$$
Beams 4- year deal on big $$$
Sidebottom 5-year deal on big $$$
Treloar 7-year deal on big $$$
Grundy 7-year deal on massive $$$

We paid far too much for these five players and for far too long, which killed us when we had to then upgrade Moore, DeGoey, Daicos, Stephenson, Howe, Crisp, Maynard, etc

Complete incompetence.

Overall, you've got to be happy with that!.
We got another 1st round pick in a draft the club really likes.
We got rid of some excessive contracts.
We may even be able to turn our 2x 1st rounders into a top 10 pick.

Out: Treloar, Stephenson, Phillips
In: Potentially a top 10 pick, McKinnes, and an extra $2m salary cap space.

We may just be able to turn an ordinary situation into a win.
