Tell me what the lessons are in each case, that should not be repeated.
Right,Beams AT and Stevo I assume.
I used to always buy those pale blue ones. Put hotels on quickly and watch the funds roll in, particularly if you had the four stations, or even better the purples. And trade Mayfair for Old Kent
He'd be an interesting option. Whether he's up for a hostile takeover is another matter. Eddie would have to clearly see the writing on the wall to step aside but Bertrand would possibly be the type of person he'd may way for - as opposed to a more aggressive/combative option.I heard John Bertrand might be interested.
Successful and levelheaded.
2022! I could be dead by then! Life now is about instant gratification, not hanging around 3 or 4 years while a couple of raw recruits develop. And what do we have to offer Adelaide that is going to prize their number 1 pick out of them? Certainly not our picks 14 and 16! Unless we throw in our fist rounder for next year as well but even that is not going to get us the number one prize. Two sides to every conversation.
The person being upset is likely to exaggerate in an emotional state.
We need to focus on Adelaides pick 1, it’s apparently up for grabs for a godfather like offer...
That, Nick Daicos and the Bont as a free agent in 2022. Wholly s$&t, we are back in business.

John Bertrand is 74 years old, he'd be our version of Jo Biden. He'd be an interesting option. Whether he's up for a hostile takeover is another matter. Now someone tell me that we have the right people in the right places making the right decisions

Lol agreed until you started having shots at DeGoey and Shaz. After that you state what DeGoey did as if it’s a fact and not an accusationDon't pay two first rounders for a midfielder simply because he loves the coach.
Don't pay two first rounders for someone with known mental health and hip issues.
Don't give up on a 21 year old that you used pick 6 for - especially when you have another top ten pick that regularly returns to pre-season training overweight, gets caught drunk driving, using a mobile phone while driving, is regularly injured and assaults women.
Don't use a top ten pick on someone who requires foot surgery even before he plays a game.
This might be wishful thinking, but is there a chance the plan was to salary dump so that only 95% of the cap is used in 2021 and then use 105% of the cap for the following year to recruit a gun free agent?

Also do you think any player would have the balls to be honest to his face?See....the real question that any journalist (who can call themselves a journalist) should have asked is--'Adam did you follow up that conversation with any of your teammates to categorically confirm any truth to it?
That question never happened and subsequently any validation for accuracy has now not been confirmed and paints Nathan and the club in a negative light.
Adam when asked about the conversation taking place around the teammates wanting him gone replied with " I don't think it's true".
All Adam had to do--was ring his teammates and find out for himself.
There's an old expression whereby people don't want to ask questions that they don't want to know the real answer too--because of how painful it may be to hear.
Tell me what the lessons in each case, that should not be repeated.
It's a case of letting things play out before going ballistic. I think that's fair.

Ed’s been reading BF and to shut you Kent’s up he chasing a KPF at any cost.If you had've told me pre-trade period we'd lose Stephenson to North, Treloar to the Dogs and Phillips to Hawthorn... I'd have told you we'd walk away with a draft hand of 11, 14, 16 & 25.
Right,
So how many of those still at the club?
Thats a very interesting read especially these comments.
"In the days since, it’s created a wedge between the hierarchy of the football club – Geoff Walsh, Guy and Buckley – and some players. Scott Pendlebury’s involvement is a little murkier, with one inside source suggesting the captain didn’t disagree with Buckley’s assertion that the club was better off trading Treloar."
McGuire’s most pointed remark of the year came when he was asked about Buckley’s contract, which has 12 months left to run. “I love Nathan Buckley,” he said. “But I love Collingwood Football Club more.”
"and key assistants Robert Harvey and Brenton Sandersondid not see eye-to-eye for most of 2020."PLAYERCARDSTARTBrenton Sanderson

Yep - both. We identified the salary cap issue in the last review and then signed big long term deals after that and ended up hopelessly desperate to push players out for whatever we could get.If the cap situation has been grossly exaggerated..... then we then by definition must be way unders by now having shaved 1.5 mil or more off our TPP.
So why trade Treloar for peanuts if the cap wasn’t a problem? Hold on to him for a year and review at the end of 2021?
Same applies to Stevo and Phillips. Why were all three given away for nothing if there was no cap issue?
Walsh like Ned is lying. Or incompetent.
With what - peanuts? We couldn't afford his salary and didn't have the draft picks to land him anyway. My opinion for some time has been that, Buckley has full control of the steering wheel. Buckley does not rate tall forwards and therefore we have not actively pursued any.
I would be surprised if we actively pursued Cameron.
Take the Dogs list over ours any day, they just need a bloke who can coach.
