Bloke on the line suggesting Essendon trade pick 11 and a future 3rd to Collingwood for a second rounder this year and our future first...
Heard something similar today. Pies after taking Daicos and covering points swap nexts years first pick for the saints pick 9 this year. Starts our rebuild a year early and gives saints currency for King next year.

If he continues in 2022 the way he ended 2021 he will attract offers over a million dollars p.a. We would be insane to match that, so it’s a matter of what we can get him to agree to, or how important the money is to him. We would be smart to let him go if we miss the eight.

He would have to just about win the best and fairest, finish top 6 in the brownlow for a club to offer him a million a year, and hopefully he does, because we probably go close to playing finals...

Dangerfield. Wines. Franklin. Oliver.

This trade period, those are some super players I want to add to my team. Have you considered super fund Host Plus?

Rendell is a crackpot - SEN only hire him because he puts controversial sh*t out there.

He also has North playing finals next year for the record, and that ain't happening.

The cherry on top was saying Adams (a $700k inside midfielder) should be a small forward when we have *no* other in-and-under contested ball midfielders - give me a break...

The amount of times they’ve recycled his bullshit on Moore and JDG coming of contract is ****ing irritating!

For accuracy here is a more recent comparison

Yes he could’ve been selected more often but Sier has done bugger all since 2018. Lipinski recent form is better, he has more versatility as to what roles he can play, better disposal and is clearly much more of a professional

The last bit is really the key - I guess the question for Fly and co. is whether they think they can turn it around, as he's still young and has a high ceiling if we can just tap into it.

As an aside talk about being able to play various roles for established players is fluff imo and needs to be left behind with the Buckley robots-that-can-play-a-role era - many of the good (even elite) players in the competition only ever play the one role for their most of their career, they just do it very well. I agree younger players need to have a few strings to their bow until the best one can be identified, but for established players that's just not the case especially for the good ones.

Not long till it all goes down. Thought id create a thread as it looks almost certain he will end up at pies. Im excited!!

Sam Edmund spoke on trade radio today about the situation. Expects we will probably get him for a future pick. We could get Nathan Kreuger Via PSD.

Trade Radio is a steaming pile of freshly minted horse $hit. Actually hurts all 5 of my senses hearing a single second of it. Besides that, goes OK.
It'll get better once FA/Trade period begins. or when players start requesting trades which can't be too far off.

Requested

Western Bulldogs midfielder Patrick Lipinski has informed the club he is seeking a trade, with the 23-year-old expected to join Collingwood in the upcoming trade period.

The talented Lipinski officially informed the club of his decision on Monday after the Bulldogs lost the grand final to Melbourne.

He has played 56 games in his five seasons with the club and played 12 games this season but found it impossible to cement a spot in the team’s strong midfield.
The Bulldogs offered Lipinski a deal to stay with the club and are expected to drive a hard bargain with the Magpies despite the fact Lipinski – who was pick 28 in the 2016 national draft – will get more opportunities at Collingwood.

Lipinski fits the Magpies’ profile of players who can play midfield/forward and is set to join the club along with Geelong’s key Nathan Kreuger. Collingwood will also need to retain points to claim Nick Daicos as the father-son prospect is likely to attract a bid within the first four selections.
Collingwood have picks 36, 39, 41 and 45 but are confident they won’t go into deficit next season.

Lynch couldn't get games ahead of Cameron and Cox in a team that finished 17th. In the eyes of other Clubs, his value would be close to zero.

(As supporters, we have an unconscious bias towards over-rating our own players and undervaluing those of opposition teams)

Lynch is not a forward so he wasn’t competing with Cameron or Cox
