I would be trading Grundy to Port and praying they are close enough to a flag to throw something crazy at us.

JDG has 15 weeks to sort himself out, if he can't let him go, time to shine young man, you want all the fancy expensive toys time to earn them.

Sidebottom and Pendles don't go anywhere, play out the remainder of there careers in B&W, no one is giving anything decent for them at that age.

Might as well do a Propper Gut the Side. Any Player with Currency over 23 Years old.

Here a Few More we can Trade:
- Moore
- De Goey
- Howe
- Elliot
- Adams
- Crisp

WTF is with people suggesting Stengle? Is he being confused with McAdam? Honest question because the guy is a stupid big risk for a club entering a full rebuild when he was maybe middling in his time in the system. I get it if he was a Charlie Cameron level talent and he’s still young (ish) at 23 in October, but for us to even consider going there is mad.

Trading Pendles would be about as bad for our image as possible, not to mention bad in terms of all the knowledge he can impart on our youth. Moreover, he's still our best mid!

A month ago I wouldn't have thought about moving Steele, but he looks bloody disinterested. Hasn't checked back in since his off-field stuff up last year. I'd rather trade De Goey than either of them though.
EDIT: oh yeah, would also boot Cox off too to a team in need.

I also think supporters need to realise the lack of help and support that Pendles and Steele are receiving in the middle they are probably Jack of it and I don't really blame them to be honest.

I think you make a really good point with Grundy and Port Adelaide. They would probably believe that he would be the last piece in the puzzle to secure a flag. As much as I would love to keep him, we could get some real talent with his salary and would get some nice picks on top. We are in no position to maintain the likes of Grundy and would probably go places faster without him. Having said that, I don't believe we would trade him and i'm fine with that.

William Drew & Todd Marshall
1st round pick 2021.

That's what I would take and think Port would struggle knock that back if they could afford it.

We don't have a 2021 1st Round Pick

Two meh guys and a pick that gets absorbed by a Daicos bid? Hard pass. That is also completely ignoring that Port weren’t interested in Grundy for a reason namely that they already have Lycett on a bloated contract...

Edit: not having a dig Beeg because I agree with your thinking that shedding his salary works for us. The problem is that everyone knows that’s why we’d be moving him so for us to get remotely adequate value clubs need to come at him and we’re trading his salary not him. That being the case you need a club with both cap space and need of a ruckman. Sydney’s the only one that ticks both boxes, IMO, and again they need to target him when I think they’ll have their sights set on Moore.

Woe is us, having to endure a top-2 ruck in the competition earning his market value in his prime

That is as ineffective as I have seen for a player on his wage.

If you think he is having bigger impacts around the ground compared to blokes on a much lower salary like Nank/O'Brien/Darcy etc you're dreaming.

I’m sorry Beeg, but the context is lost on me? Like every other Collingwood supporter I know he’s an abysmal kick and the only time you want him kicking is when he’s within 30 of goal directly in front.

With that said he’s a ruckman and no club would have interest or disinterest based on his kick rating. They’d only say what we should be saying which is basically he should handball 80% of the time. The catch is, as I stated in the post match thread, that our overlap run is scary bad so he’s almost always getting forced to kick from a mark or free kick. At any other club he’d be handballing.

That’s a system issue and one that will only be corrected with a change in direction from the coaches box because the current coach is bereft of ideas on how to have us play with more flow.

That’s an interesting stat.
I’ve noticed Sidebottom butcher it consistently, but not so much Daicos.
I’d like to know if a new Hawthorn player (Phillips) was towards the bottom as well?

Crisp is high on the list which is no surprise.
