Theres just no way that we can get picks 25 and 30 involved (if we stupidly accept that deal) in any sort of Schache trade. Put yourself if the lions shoes, would you accept a crummy deal like that for a former pick 2 key forward. **** no!

I say we saddle up and get Schache done asap for pick 9 and 26 - we get Schache and 18 in return. And then we can delay the stringer deal for as long as we can which may see the bombers fold and give us a future first rounder or other clubs get involved.

Not at all... I was looking more at something being presented by the club as some sort of fact based on evidence... rather than get in the way of good fan fiction. However, never let the facts get in the way of a good story. Carry on...
The club cannot exactly hold a press conference announcing the actions of it's players in those circumstances can it?
All it can do is deal with it internally as best it can. Which I believe is what they have done.
Hopefully Stringer will soon be someone else's problem & Dahl & Libba will grow the **** up.
I actually want players in the team we can be proud of.

No. Do not want Schache. Just because he's a former no 2 pick does not mean he is a number 2 player.

And, we should be focussing on our needs for team balance. A small forward a la Rioli is something we need, not another uncertain tall.

He just shouldn't be our first priority.

Just because players are available and potentially cheap, is that a reason to rush out and get them, without paying due attention to addressing what will best make our team function as a whole at a more efficient level?

Is Schache right for our team right now? Is he the most urgent desperation of a need we have?

Push JJ forward now. We still need a capable KPF who can kick 40 + goals a season. If one is on a discounted rate who has talent should be heavily considered.

I'd be super disappointed if we didn't get a high talent in as a result of losing a high talent, especially after a really nice first week of trading.

How would everyone feel if the net result for Jake was schache and a 2018 second?
Not great Josh Schache is destined to be this years version
of Xavier Richards at least with the future pick we don't
have to take too many kids this year. How we balance up
our list numbers is going to take some serious creative
accounting. Going to be some disappointed fringe players
hope they find new homes.

I like this option. Let's keep stringer deal going as long as possible, whilst doing the Schade deal.

Maybe trade BTC with a trade pick coming back ?

Severely overpaying for Schache. Pick 9 won't need to be involved, so why use it? Better to use a second rounder and steak knives (eg. BTC).

i foreone am looking forward to 4 more days of stringer talk with no new information at all and just bulldogs bashing

Take a look at the latest article from Ralphy/Connors/Dodo

Just get the feeling Gordon loves campaigners pulling this sort of shit and this will energise him and club to not bend.

Oh the possibilities and tangents yet to be explored!

Trade period is very much a game of, you're only wrong until you're right.
