Lobb is on much less coin and will genuinely be handy for our other fwds.

It’s also the impact on current players. If I’m Macrae, Naughton etc getting paid less than Bowes, I’d be a tad filthy.
This why I am so sceptical of the Crows giving Rankine $850k, there is no way other blokes look at him without thinking 'why not me?'.

There is no world in which Lobb will earn $700k a year with us on average. If you believe the Freo fans his contract was heavily front loaded anyway, so his current deal is nowhere near $700k, But those fans also believe Lobb is staying a Docker.
Eitherway we are extending to make it 500k anyway so cap won't be the issue

Look at their list and all their best players are 30+ or young kids breaking out. Stewart would be their only good player in his prime other than Cameron who is on the most

Sorry, but you can't shift me from the view they do some very creative accounting.

Again their better players are either older players on the way down on smaller contracts or young rookie listed or recently drafted players:
Selwood: 34
Dangerfield: 32
Hawkins: 34
Tuohy: 32
Smith: 33
Duncan: 31
Blicavs: 31

Stengle: 23
De Koning: 21
Holmes: 20
Close: 24

Sanderson suggesting Brisbane offer up Rayner for Dunkley. I now regret reading on twitter that they'll discuss his value and wasting half an hour waiting for that

Nick Haynes up for trade

How longs trade period this year? Is it wishful thinking that we might actually get some action early on in the piece? Seems like there is a LOT for clubs to get through and I’m sure still more to come, and then cmon clubs might not **** around and get things done early for once…. Maybe…

If everything that’s been rumoured actually happens I think it still can get done within 3-4 days. It opens next Monday and runs until the following Wednesday so still far longer than it has any right to be.

Nick Haynes up for trade

We would need GWS first rounder to take on Hayes back ended contract. We would pay them a future fourth for the privilege of him frequenting our medical facilities.

Hard no, unless he passes a can show he is back to full fitness.

He's a distant cousin of mine.

Massive saints family. Seems like something they'd do too.

Yeah I’d take him if we got draft picks for doing so and a substantial reduction on his salary. Neither will happen though.

Apparently on a mill next year would need a hefty cut
What on earth have Giants/GC done to their caps honestly, absolute shitshow.

He seems to have lost all form for whatever reason, if we could get him right for one more 2year tilt you’d have to consider it he’s a bloody gun at his best. Would be relying on a backline of Jones, Haynes & Keath though 😳

Geelong have really opened my eyes to bringing in 30yos, if they improve the team for the following year and you’re not selling the farm for them, or keeping out a good young player (like Lobb may be with Darcy) just do it, there seems to be an endless supply to just keep topping up on and **** I don’t care about the future I want to win games of footy & the flag now

Yeah should be Monday to Friday at the absolute most, would actually think that would be reasonably busy most days - maybe not the first day or two - if that was the case this year
