IF: a story as clearly a management plant as this one about Caleb Graham is.

And the best marketing they can come up with is the faint praise of "Solid but not brilliant year in the VFL."

I’d love to see him play from the age of 33-38 off a back flank, he would be lethal. Then from 38-40 he can pinch hit in the fwd pocket off the bench, age 40 onwards super sub
I've said a few times that Bont in his Boyd/Pendles/etc era is going to be insane. Of course, I hope he's a genuine mid for many years to come, but an intercepting defender with his ability to distribute in space will be a great watch.

Trivia Thursday, warm-up question. Pick the odd one out:
Caleb Daniel
Caleb Ewan
Caleb Graham
Caleb Poulter

The ones that should be moved on are the considerable mature options we have that clearly aren't best 22 or hanging around the fringes. McComb, Crozier, McLean, Hannan, O'Brien are all easy pickings to delist and we wouldn't miss any in the slightest next season.
As much hate as he gets it's probably Hannan I keep from that list for depth.

But we’re desperate for that number 1 FB type to take over from Jones who can be partnered with JOD/Buss to give us a fair bit to work with whilst rebuilding our defence.
Someone to take over Jones's role in a few years is probably our biggest need imo. And a fast, strong burst mid at the draft hopefully. Mind you not sure why we don't just play Bailey Smith in the guts as that's where he plays best anyway.

Which is a fair enough point. I'm sure it's made a difference having Lobb, but not completely convinced it's made a big difference. Could we get a stats breakdown for last years 2nd ruck compared to this years? Scores for and scores against? Lobb's been mostly decent, but feel like he's struggled in some games.

Does the AFL do +/- for time on ground? I know it’s not as simple compared to NBA because there are more variables in AFL, but it would be so interesting to see our +/- when English not rucking over the last couple of years to compare to this year. My gut feel is we’re substantially better off this year.

Full point for the Letterkenny gif. Amazing show.

Can’t say I know much about him, but he sounds like the type we should be targeting.

I genuinely think JOD has CHB potential, he will be a very large unit I don’t think we have to pidgeon hole him as 3rd tall. But we’re desperate for that number 1 FB type to take over from Jones who can be partnered with JOD/Buss to give us a fair bit to work with whilst rebuilding our defence.
Gold coast need points for draft pick of their academy players, how about a 3 rounder for Caleb Graham if he IS any good.

WESTERN BULLDOGS

Next year figures to be a bigger year for the Bulldogs from a trade sense, when Tim English and Aaron Naughton both come out of contract. For now, free agent Bailey Williams’ future is clouded given he’s still on the market, with the South Australian linked to the Crows last month. The Dogs have host of other senior players without deals for 2024 too – perhaps more than any other club – including Alex Keath, Anthony Scott, Hayden Crozier, Jordon Sweet, Mitch Hannan, Roarke Smith, Taylor Duryea, Tim O’Brien and Toby McLean.

I’d be happy to only keep Keath, Scott, Sweet & possibly Duryea from that list.

The rest aren’t best 22 and are all on the older side. Time to replenish our list with a bunch of developing kids are re-align our age profile.

I would also be keeping Bailey Williams

Might be some smoke around us and Flanders 👀
We're relocating to Belgium and rebranding as the Belgium Bulldogs?

And here I was thinking that Ballarat was a bit cold and a stretch for our metropolitan supporters.
