I can't accept that this Dunkley stuff is true.

Seems to get on well with his team mates.
No evidence to suggest otherwise.

Anyone ITK, please PM me if I'm wrong.

So Caroline Wilson reported on Radio this week that there is a divide between Dunkley and senior members of the playing group. The divide is centred around professionalism. There is a feeling that some within the playing group are happy with mediocrity and others that want to get it done.

It is easy to dismiss Caro off hand but I've heard this story too many times over the past 24months for it not to have some truth to it.

Yes Nothing new here. It’s more than 24 months too.
Dunkley was part of leadership group at one stage.
Angels at every other club.

Dunks - Power Vs Dog’s
Playing out the Brownlow count tonight - Dog’s come back with a stronger offer to retain him or he nominates PT. (Dogs up the offer to $700,000-$750,000) If I compare him to Taranto it’s a no-brainer Dunks is a contested ball pig, IMO his worth the $700-$750K*

Professional agitator Wilson...loves a crisis and if there isn't one, she'll create one.

Anyway, putting that aside, if Dunkley was so 'professional' wouldn't you think he would work on his kicking? 🤔

I really hope Dunkley moves to Port and they pick up Willie Rioli as well, if he thinks some of our players aren't professional I'll like to see what he thinks of playing with a convicted drug user and trafficker.

He sounds like a bit of a perfectionist. I guess he will learn that all clubs are made up of different personalities, not just the Bulldogs.

I think it’s believable because drama follows our playing group. 2014, 2017/18 post Stringer and Dahlhaus and now maybe again. Bit over it. You don’t hear of it from Sydney or Geelong.

Having said that… name me a club in the league that doesn’t have some players that seem less professional.

And if it’s hunter and Baz… well I personally think they’re more consistent and reliable on field contributors than Dunks. Hunter has always been mister consistent and an absolute on field general

I did hear that the players were really annoyed with Hunter including Dunks, who sat in his room drinking while in the Queensland hub, but it sounds like Bevo doesn’t mind a Bevo either.

If we remember Bruce stacked on the weight from drinking the previous year, which also annoyed Dunks, so there is definitely some truth to this. Bruce to his credit turned things around. I wonder if having a number of VFL boys drafted hasn’t helped.

Grass is greener….
As if Geelong or Sydney have no dramas or you don’t hear from them. Winning masks everything

Yep I've heard something similar.

If it is an issue with Lachie Hunter, well those issues are well known and probably correct.

Dunks is known to be one of the most professional, in terms of preparation, at the club. But if Dunks thinks the Brisbane crew will all be at his standard then he is kidding himself.

Yes, assuming this is true I think he needs a reality check. You get a group of 44 young blokes together, there will be all sorts of personalities. It takes a certain level of emotional maturity to understand and work with conflicting types without it getting in the way of the common goal. He isnt going to find this nirvana at any AFL club. It also wouldn't guarantee any kind of success.

That's not to say disruptive behaviour should be accommodated though, that's on the leaders to reign in.

Ok, so i'm Dunks & i look @ other potential contract offers on the table...

De Goey = $800,000? (Over-rated) - Goes missing, un-wanted attention, just NOT in a PRELIM!
Taranto = $750,000? (Questionable Potential) Injury prone & soft!
Dunks = $650,000? (Premiership player & runner up) Contested ball winner.

EVEN with DUNKS - We don't have the best mid..........

Let’s just hope it’s one or two and not a more systemic culture of unprofessional behavior. Rightly or wrongly he clearly doesn’t rate the club.

How arrogant, if true, to set yourself up as the arbiter of standards at a football club. A bit of a slap to “best mate” Ads and other players he’s pretended to be friends with. I hope he’s done thorough research into the standards at the clubs he’s considering moving to.

Actually it might just be the excuse he, or dad, have put out when the real reason is $$$.

Have to wonder if the time off earlier in the year was a third strike.

Some posters here were slagged off for mentioning the same thing a few weeks ago.
Even the banter on Dunkley's socials seems to have stopped from the other members of the playing group (save for Crozier who's trying to get out anyway)
We have more than a few problems to solve at the club. We're in for a very eventful off-season.

I can't see Bevo getting a contract extension until our trend next year become clear.

Dunks just has to make a decision and if he is moving away from the Kennel he should also notify which club he wants to move to that the professional thing to do.
He may well have already but didn't want any distractions tonight - Brand Dunkley(tm) has listed everyone who has anything to do with he & Tippah's outfits.
