I don’t know, if anything I think Collingwood values versatility and flexibility more than us. Frampton has played back, forward and ruck this year. Hoskin-Elliott has played half forward, wing and half back. Howe had a month stint playing forward for some reason. Crisp, Pendlebury and Nick Daicos regularly switch between midfield and half back depending on the match.
They’re recruiting at the end of last season was very good though. Made a PF and knew that the league was wide open and the time to strike was now.
Bobby Hill was a great pickup, him and McCreery are relentless as pressure forwards and is similar to Richmond’s model where the complete focus is defensive acts and whatever comes after that is a bonus.
Not the biggest Dan McStay guy but he played a role for them and was an upgrade in a position of need and meant Cox/Cameron could focus on rucking. He was vital for them in the PF, didn’t look like scoring but he plucked 3 contested marks inside 50, kicked 2.1 and gave them some life.
Last season they were bottom four in differential for contested possessions, centre clearances, stoppage clearances and total clearances, so brought in Tom Mitchell and they bumped all those stats to league average. Credit to Mitchell for parking his ego and playing that team orientated role. He obviously had done it before at Sydney, so no surprise he could do it, but probably not easy going from the man who tries to get it 35-40 times a game to a role player.

guy but he was a smart pickup as backline cover who can also chop out in the ruck. Someone needs to tell the higher ups he can’t play forward, I guess Cordy isn’t the worst premiership CHF anymore. He was handy through the year for them though. Moore, Murphy and Howe are going to be the first three selected but its handy having a ready made role player if one of them goes down and the other three are pretty versatile so Frampton can come in for any of them and the others will play down and find the role. It’d probably be a worry if he’s best 22 every week but as a 27th guy on the list who can fill some holes, a nice pick up.
