Have said it with Croft a few times, he’s about six years younger than Naughton and eight years younger than English.

Lobb, Keath and Jones will all probably be finished within two years too.

There’s always a need for quality talls.
I'm a strong believer of always taking the tall
every draft is a "generational midfield" corp

I absolutely love the trade. The club has clearly identified a couple of players at the top end of the draft who they think will be impact players for us. Not sure why people are taking the doom and gloom approach.

It’s bloody exciting at the thought of bringing in an elite draft pick. We haven’t had the chance to do that since Bailey Smith 6 years ago!

Are you forgetting the picks 1 and 2 that we drafted since then?

This is spot on. I don't get why some would be happy to overlook or not match any bids on Croft. Tall kid who can play both ends that will hopefully play as many if not more games with us that his old man.
He will come on by the time our older blokes will be done.

You’d say for us to do this deal the risk of a bid coming for Croft before our first was definitely considerable.

It makes it our pick 10 (Croft) and then we’d have 17. In such a scenario I’d happily pair 17 with F1 for a top end player in this draft
I agree logically, but the confusing part of this is that we actually can't match a bid inside the top 10 currently. Sweet out of course, but then Coffield & maybe Harmes in - so without some more trading, it's hard to see how we get the points.
