Considering we had to trade out of the first round for 2 years (JUH and Darcy) we had to keep Dunkley.Great outcome.
It was the right decision at the time and it proved to be the right one.

Made it up.So do you think Maclure & Sam Edmund have spoken to his agent & rival clubs and come to similar conclusions or have they complete made it up ?
No idea if it’s true. But McClure is very close the the Connors team who manage Baz. Wouldn’t be surprised if they leaked it to him.I wouldn't put much faith in what McClure has to say.
Never let the facts get in the way of a good story, TDC...Hang on - didn’t Geelong come out and say they hadn’t spoken to Smith ???

They were formulating what that might look like
Let that be a lesson to ya, ol' son
Can't see the club taking any deal for Smirh. Hasn't been at his best this year but young players sometimes have down years. Good preseason and hopefully he gets back to his best form.Only way to describe it.
Would be our 2 best young mids gone in successive years.
Huge hole.
Amateur hour at the club these days.
Remorse will always inspire mercy, Grasshopper
Exactly, his at his lowest value trade wise aswell. If it were the case he wants out (he doesn’t) you'd hold for another year and back him in to get some form back. Can't see the club taking any deal for Smirh. Sweet will be elsewhere next year, yeah? What could we get for him?
This is the flip side, giving him $700k+ per year would be an awful decision. As much as it would be a total disaster to lose Bailey Smith to Geelong. It would be an even bigger disaster to tie him down on a high value long term contract if he can't improve his kicking.
Who said it was Geelong? And they hadn’t spoken to him then…honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see him goHang on - didn’t Geelong come out and say they hadn’t spoken to Smith ???
u didn’t tell the right people…I spent a bit of time in my younger day’s formulating what Elle Macpherson and Heidi Klum together would look like but I didn’t get it published !!!
I'm of the opposite view. They would like to keep him but would certainly listen to any reasonable offer for him. Then if the offer is good enough make a decision on him. It's far better for us to trade him with the upper hand with his contract than next year when he is out of contract. The Dunkley shemozzle should have taught us that. Can't see the club taking any deal for Smirh. Hasn't been at his best this year but young players sometimes have down years. Yo
u didn’t tell the right people…
No one shouldn’t of been in denial that Dunkley wanted outSimilar response when some said Dunkley was gone. People were in denial about that right through last year. It’s all BS until it isn’t.
I can understand your line of thought but he is at his lowest possible trade value. If he is determined to leave well then you make the best of a bad situation. If it just he has having a down season you don't throw the baby out with the bath water.I'm of the opposite view. The first thing that has to be sorted. Does Bailey Smith want to stay at the Dogs? If no or unsure, then it's trade time.
