Keeping Dunkley for an extra season almost won us a premiership.

I wouldn’t blame Power for that one
Thats why this one is different to me,

If he wants to go to a "contender" they pay up or else we send him to the PSD he effectively had no value to our list this year anyway

He was probably leading our B&F up until he injured his shoulder against GWS up in Canberra (same game Tim got that brutal concussion). Rushed back which was a testament to him but didn't recapture that form the rest of 2021. Should have requested a trade with us after the Granny but stayed quiet and did us dirty leaving uncontracted.

He has issues with his mental health. It has been well proven that selfishness is a contributing factor for mental health. Self reliance and selflessness are opposite factors. This didn’t work well for a number of players over the years who already had issues with their mental health and requested trades.
Completely spot on.

Listening to Treloar talk about how a lot of his anxiety issues were driven by selfishness. Once he started caring about team performance and not personal, he started playing better and became a better teammate.

We've basically had to coddle Baz given all his issues. Can't wait to see the back of him.

Watching him blanket Cripps on the weekend really hurt too…

I doubt a list exists but if it did I reckon we'd have to go close to topping it.

  • Top ten draft picks traded involving the WB.
Whether we trade former top ten picks in, or trade them, it seems to happen almost every year. And you can't change my mind.

Our list management is overrated since we managed to bring in Treloar and Bruce on bargain bin deals.

I have been fine with our contracts for existing players but not our general recruiting and unwillingness to part with draft picks, half of which have been poor outside of our top picks and the ever rare late pick. I get we had NGA and father sons coming but there is more that could’ve been done.

A lot of stuff to happen
But we will be messed with this trade

Geelong:
Smith + Future Third

Dogs:
Pick 16 + 36

Geelong will give us a take it or leave it type of deal

Baz has been gone for this whole season, we’ve had a lot of time to figure out how we’re going to approach this. Would assume there’s been a lot of behind the scenes talk with Geelong already given how much of an open secret it was anyway.

It is somewhat concerning that we lost Dunkley, our best defensive mid in his prime, and Baz, a strong running mid, given how much we can struggle to a) stop other mids and b) struggle to match the run of younger teams. Not commenting on the coulda woulda shoulda of it all - but we got lucky that Ed turned into a very handy Baz replacement. Probably better. But both would have been good. Sanders won’t really address either facet, for his strengths.

We didn’t come close to offering what Baz was looking for, Geelong did. So I don’t really blame him, it has a very mutual feeling about it. We maybe thought the two year offer to free agency was legitimately beneficial to him. He wants guaranteed cash now.

I just hope there’s no cliff coming for most of our midfield that leaves us looking at Dunkley and Baz and really regretting some choices. Our list management since the 21 GF looks somewhat shaky tbh. Not terrible but I think Power needs a couple of wins so we don’t come off as feeder-clubby.

The only duds on this list are O'Brien/Schache/Trengrove

Baker/Hannan had patches

I will say that Ads was known as a fantastic teammate/bloke at the pies, may have been his anxiety disorder lying to him that he wasn't (although you are correct that focusing on a more rounded, holistic viewpoint is absolutely a fantastic remedy for anxiety)

Hence why we need to grow up as a club and tell him to get ****ed and send him to the PSD,

If you want out fine **** off but make sure the club you pick can trade for you

Ungrateful little p****

Support him through his f*** ups (sniff) his mental health, he p**** off to Europe mid season which we indulge and we even allow the campaigner to train with us in the lead up to a final with him knowing he's packed his bags already.

F*** off Smith and the horse you rode in on.

Don't you dare get bent over on this Dogs, don't you dare.

SNIFF SNIFF SNIFF...pardon the pun

Let him be some other clubs problem.... not sad to see him go at all..

We are all here talking about how players attitudes stink after the loss on Friday, this bloke has been given everything.... games when he didnt deserve it, support when he stuffed up expeditionally !

I dont know the bloke, but with his mental health problems that seem to be an excuse for poor behaviour (as reported) and excuses plus his look at me attitude......I would rather him gone!

These are the type of blokes we do not want if we are going forward. Yes, on his day he can play, no doubt about it, but cant see him reaching thsoe heights at the dogs based on what we have seen.

With what he is probably commanding from a cap/ pricetag point of view.... farewell goodbye!

It's all about Bailey, always will be.... good luck to the lad.

He didnt get midfield time as he isnt hard enough in the contest, there was a reason. Head butting a bloke doesnt mean your tough, his defensive game sucks and his use of the ball is horrendous, not to mention his attitude.

Club has to be held accountable for babying this bloke..... learn from it!

Lets just take the hit, get what we can and move on!
