I know its probably a joke, but i kind of just came to terms with us targeting Kennedy and I don't hate it

There is actually nothing wrong with him as a player but he's a little too similar to Harmes (age & ability).

The Blues aren't too keen to keep him so he'd be a worth a token late pick. I guess the concept would be to get 25 & 32 for Macrae & Daniel, shed $1.4 million in salary and bring in Kennedy as cheap depth in that position?

I think blues want future picks for anyone now. Anything outside 30 will get absorbed by the twins.

Just as bad is the media’s failure - for the most part - to call it out.

You can’t tell me they don’t know it’s going on. They spend every waking moment thinking about it, writing about it and talking to insiders.

So I’m pleased to see it actually made it to trade radio.

The sooner this stuff is out in the open the sooner the AFL will take its first baby steps to making the system a little fairer and a lot more transparent.

Yes.

We were rebuilding, that rebuild allowed us to draft Macrae, Stringer and Bontempelli.

With better players we likely don't properly rebuild and are stuck middling.

Edit: minus Macrae and Stringer - remembered they were drafted the year we traded Lake, still - the club wasn't hurt as such by the loss of Lake, as even with Lake we were nowhere near contending anyway, I'm more meaning players that we traded out (like Stringer) in a time where we were either contending or close to contending, that would have enhanced us.
