We are 10000% not going to do that.
For the same reason that no other club will draft him if we are dumb enough to walk him to the PSD/ND.

I said weeks ago that the result remains the same.

He ends up at Geelong. We end up with our dicks in our hands.

Trading back in to take Smith seems like an infinitely worse result than just letting him go for unders tbh (or letting him walk to draft and getting nothing).

Bailey Smith is a culturally stain on our club. Management and the playing group will be glad to see the back of him after the way he's carried on this year. The last thing we'd look to do is draft him back

Besides a public image of being a show pony what specifically has he done to make him a cultural stain on the club?

From all reports he’s extremely professional when it comes to footy and prep and I find it hard to believe he’d let himself wither away in the twos rather than show up, lace up his boots and get to work.

Have Sam Power and Mackie both left their rooms :eyes:

Like Mofra's bottom 50, there's a penalty for being too hip/young/showy. And it's never fun when a player rejects our club and wants to go somewhere else. He's also a young player with some obvious mental health problems, gee fame can be a blessing and a curse.

Some of the commentary about him is ridiculous. He's 50 minutes from being an ex-player, we should all move on with our lives and look forward to enjoying years of Darcy, Jamarra, the golden Bont years etc etc.

Skipping out on various community events he'd committed to.
Skipping various club events for no particular reason.
Skipping the best and fairest, AND announcing his trade request to Geelong an hour before it to bring the attention back on himself.
Announcing he's "outgrown" the club.

He's burned as many bridges as he can really. Hasn't remotely put in the effort required from a professional footballer. Compare him to Dunkley who was the ultimate professional, despite having a previous failed trade request

how is nothing getting done like does the AFL tell them oh yea wait til the last hour?
Action day and only two deals have been posted on trade tracker for the whole day. Those two trades were always going through and were common knowledge all week.
