Top 3 melt

Not really a melt, just a simple observation.

We should be aiming for top 4/flag. Collingwood & Hawks have both been aggressive to get back to that point, we were absolutely nowhere near being in that conversation along with them.

Just not really a fan to be going into next year which is mostly hopeful for internal development to push us to the next level, also being reliant on luck with injuries - especially in defence.

If we don’t have some incredibly serious plans for this time in 12 months, we may as well fold the club.

Moving some salary off the books will help retain some of our players, but cap space apparently wasn’t a concern anyway.

We simply have to be targeting 1 or 2 big names or getting reamed this year will be for nothing.

So melodramatic holy shit

Haha saying "we may as well fold the club" is absolutely a melt, come on...

Muck raker Damo caring all about the mental health of Bailey Smith is quite remarkable.

So is it petty or funny if we put up social media posts or Macrae and Daniel thanking them for their time, highlights, etc. and then for Smith just a “Bailey Smith has been traded for [x]”

The unknown in all this is what we do with the extra $ in salary cap as Macrae, Smith and Daniel off our books must give us sone $ to spend

Yes we were not under salary cap pressure which now means we should really be in a strong position to retain and the like

Ps not sure if or what we are paying for Jack and Caleb

Kane summed it up nicely - we had a win, we had a loss.

Received unders on Bailey and slight overs on Daniel.

Brought in a player we wanted, and missed another... but was always going to be an uphill battle to get him out of GWS this year. Lots of salary cap relief and an improved draft position too.

Could have named a hundred players I thought we might target before Kennedy, but we've done pretty well with the recycled guys we've brought in recently.

Stop being so negative everyone.

We turned a multiple time All Australian former VC and one of the best performed most marketable 23 year old in Australia into pick 20 something and Matt ****ing Kennedy.

In Power we trust.

Right up there with giving Gardner, Poulter and Baker multi year contracts when nobody wants them.

Genius moves.
