We get told recruiting is a long game.

Much easier to clear the salary deck now and then get to work on luring a FA or big trade for this time next year.

Godfather deal to Butters thanks.

The hyperventilating in here is a bit much. We knew Smith, Jack and Caleb were all likely to go and we didn't get fleeced in any of them.

Look what the Hawks gave for Barrass 😧

This is an extremely harmful and stigmatising misconception of mental health issues that costs lives. Outwardly appearing 'fine' or 'happy' to random outsiders is not at all a reliable indicator of somebody's internal mental state or struggles.
Can we not have to pass every comment past the censors? Seinfeld is a bit of a w***er but I agree with him and Larry David that it’s reaching a point you can’t say shit anymore.

Whether it’s good or bad for the club that they’ve left, I’ll miss Macrae & Daniel. Will take some time to choose a new favourite player, I hope Jacko absolutely dominates but the Saints suck. Knew it was coming, but a sad day.

I mean... the only good deal was Caleb if we are honest

Keep telling yourselves that.

We essentially got the deal that we were always going to get.

Geelong's first and a shuffling of later picks.

Geelongs posturing about pick 17 alone was just that. Posturing.

Geelong we’re not posturing it’s theatre and AFL want it that way

What exposure would the AFL had if all deals were announced when agreed upon.

Like I said no coincidence GWS news broke last couple of days amongst the trade frenzy

I can 100% say that Butters isn't coming to Bulldogs

Stop being so negative everyone.

We turned a multiple time All Australian former VC and one of the best performed most marketable 23 year old in Australia into pick 20 something and Matt ****ing Kennedy.

In Power we trust.

Right up there with giving Gardner, Poulter and Baker multi year contracts when nobody wants them.

Genius moves.

You’ve been posting drivel like this for far too long.

4 inside 48, two being inside 25, and Kennedy.

Not a bad result considering we came in with a bare bum.

I’d like us to look to trade the two later picks for an upgrade to late 20’s. 3 inside 30 in a deep draft is a good result.

Add to that, besides booing the **** out of Bailey Smith when we next play the Cats, we don’t have to think about that grub anymore.

27, 25, 35, 48
Not brilliant, not terrible. Certainly enough to trade into the teens if someone we like drops down and should at least get a decent player or two with that hand in the draft. Still heavily relying on what we did last year really where as Gold Coast/Freo/Carlton/Melbourne are bringing in some big guns.

Sammy gets a c minus with a full B minus upgrade because AFL House rigged the deck.

Yeah a little yuck. It wasn't a win, but it wasn't a loss either. Personally would have loved a little more from Smith, and even Macrae. Even if we Just nabbed a F3 or something.

I think we will be okay next year as well. Smith did not play at all, and Daniel saw limited minutes. We lost Macrae, but Kennedy can play forward much better. So we have slightly improved in that part. But otherwise the team is more the same.

Glad we didn't piss away our future picks to weaken our hand. So we have a full set of picks in 2025. But now also 2024. Would love to try and move our two late picks up for a better pick. Draft three players inside the top 30, plus a late one.

Now, onto the draft thread.

God I'm glad you aren't negotiating for us.
