I don't see it with O'Halloran. As a cheap option maybe not much to lose but it's been a pretty underwhelming first 70 odd games.

Think his best chance to make it is as a wing. Decent size, long kick are probably his best traits, maybe he could line up opposite to Bailey Williams

Our midfield is going to be piss poor moving forward. What are we doing to fill it?
Given trade period hasn't started and the draft is a couple of months away, nothing at the moment other than planning strategies

So Mid - Week has Reported that the club have welcomed Smith to Attend the dogs B&F. But it’s unlikely he will attend good riddance I say Gutless w***er

However I’m sure he’ll find time for some inane look at me post on Insta at the same time as our B&F.
No show without Punch.

Smith to Geelong
SDK to Blues
Blues pick 11 and Geelong 2nd round to us?

Maybe a 3rd round back to Geelong? (Depends how you rate SDK?)

Feels about right.
Unless SDK really wants to go to the blues, I'd cut them out of the deal and just take him and Geelong's 2nd.

I suspect I'd even be ok without the 2nd. So would Geelong.

If Smith has bought property and has moved down to Belbrae or Newtown? And is working closely with Cotton-On in their HQ in North Geelong?
It’s going to be a real pain in the arse driving to Punt Road in Richmond or slightly better driving to Arden St in North Melbourne every day. Does his free agency time reset once changing clubs? Because he’ll have years to wait if this is the case😂
He wants to go to Geelong badly. He is not a free agent, not even a restricted free agent! We actually hold all the cards. We didn’t even have him this season, so we know what life is like. Why give him to those flogs in Geelong for peanuts? Number 7 draft pick, who we’ve nurtured, some would say babied and is in his prime now.

Perfect player to do a run with role which we haven't got. Local boy from Altona and wouldn't cost much at all. For him to be playing 70 games in a good team with GWS shows that he is no dud.
Give me him any day over O'Neil, VDM, Poulter or Baker.

According to Jay Clark “The Bulldogs and Geelong are yet to start talks on a deal for gun midfielder Bailey Smith”.

I find that hard to believe.
Agree. However thats not to say Smith's manager hasn't spoken to the Cats and the Dogs to try to ink out a deal.
It's the easy way a club doesn't lie, discussion with the other club hasn't happened however discussion with an intermediary who also has had discussion with another club has.

One day older then West, went 4 spots before him in the draft aswell.
I feel like if he came across they'd be fighting for the same spot at half forward.
Completely different players. XOH more mid based and can do run with roles as well as play wing or inside mid. West is a half forward who can pinch hit in the midfield at best.
