Can’t believe some of the comments regarding Sanders, it seems that he’s being judged because he was talked up as being the most ready player in history by Bevo. I think we can all agree that was a mistake, but just because he’s not showing the same as Daicos or Sheezel did in their first years, doesn’t mean it’s panic stations.

I watched most of his VFL games and his clearance and inside 50 work is definitely elite. He lets himself down with his disposal and has a trait of just getting rid of it, instead of assessing his options. These things will take time.

He also needs to calm down, he gets very angry and loses focus when things aren’t going is way. An example being when he gets a few free kicks paid against him.

With another full preseason I can’t see how he doesn’t play 20+ games in 2025.

It was that bloody preseason video where he collected the ball, burnt off Harmes, ran to 50m and slotted a running goal.

everybody was like Phwoooooarrrrrr, we got the second coming of <insert player here>

he set the bar too high for himself.

AFL missed a trick for once with the timing of the Great Trade Reveal 2024.

It should have been from 4pm to 10pm yesterday so they could totally eclipse any interest in the Socceroos playing Japan in a World Cup qualifier. Sounded like a game worth watching (but not worth paying Paramount). Both sides scored ... for the opposition.

So it's looking like
IN: Kennedy, O'Halloran, pick ~17, pick ~25, late pick, rookie pick/DFA/open spot
OUT: Smith, Daniel, Macrae, Bedendo, Keath, Rypstra (r)
?

Man, that's... gonna take me a while to stomach emotionally.

Tom Morris tells AFL Trade Radio that Western Bulldog Caleb Daniel is increasingly likely to be a North Melbourne player by tonight's 7.30pm deadline.

North Melbourne's pick 25 is set to be the key plank in any deal, with some later picks to balance out the trade for the Roos.

However, Sydney premiership player Dan Hannebery says it's not a great move by North. He'd prefer the club to continue to bring in a young player with pick 25, rather than add Daniel's 192 games of experience at age 28.
So what does Mr Hannebery think about them getting his 32 yr old mate for that pick? As Syd have requested???

Anyone shit canning Kennedy hasn’t watched a lot of Carlton play. He is very much best 22 for them and fills a much needed role for us, will easily cement a best 22 slot in our midfield if we are down Macrae and Caleb.
Why was/is he looking around. What does he not bring to the blues that they are happy to see him go?

People seriously underating Sanders atm. He will be the perfect Libba replacement. Based on vfl form he would have been a lock for a host of other teams this year. Hard to crack with Bont, Libba, Trelour and Red ahead of you, but I expect he will take Libbas role next year. Our midfield will be nicely balanced with youth, experience, grunt and class. It’s the next rotations we need to get right. I want Garcia in there for rotations, which means he takes Mcniel’s role (don’t rate Mcniel) and we are fine. Add in Harmes and occasional Weightman to get him in the game if he’s having a quiet one (a few too many of those for my liking) and we are kosher.
