I would Really Doubt you would get Steele as I can't see him leaving after 2 seasons and I think he is very happy at collingwood

We have so much room in our salary cap, by all reports, at the moment it isn't funny.

It's way too early in the season to be speculating too much about who we will be after and why, especially given the anticlimatic trade periods of the last 3-4 years, but probably a good chance if we can come up with suitable deals we will nab a couple... especially the Victorians who want to come home.

Laycock is still needed and in 1-2 years will be valuable (remember Hille before 2006? Exactly) Put Hille in forward permanently and have Laycock/Ryder rotate.

I hope we make plays at all of them though, we need quality mids for the future.
I noticed the article about Dangerfield where Niel Craig was wanking him of saying he is one day going to be the captain but not next year
I like what we have done not by not using masses of space on the salary cap, means we can make plays at blokes the GC are going for!

Dangerfield won't be going anywhere - the crows are in the news with their retirements so hutchy has tried to trawl up every vague rumour he can find to create a bit of a swell, make it look like he does something resembling good research.

I think your best chance would be Dangerfield from the Crows but I doubt any of the 3 would leave there clubs

Wouldnt take too much notice of what hutchy says but i couldnt see sidebottom leaving but boak or dangerfield would fit into our midfield nicely.

I honestly see us probably only using 1 or 2 picks in this years draft and looking to trade off a few players and our highest pick for a quality player like boak or dangerfield.

Hi fellow Essendon F.C. supporters (apologies Mods if this has been posted before, I haven't been on in a while).

Where is this fella at? I have seen a couple of Bendigo games this year and he has been an absolute star on and off the field (talked to him and he is a great guy, really easy going and loves the club clearly).

I think he will be rewarded with a promotion after Round 11, funny thing is that I haven't heard anything about this?

Has anyone heard anything about what is happening because I have a feeling that when it does myself and 50,000 other Bombers supporters are all going to be doing things in their pants.

This was written a fair while ago, but I still don't think any opinions have been changed from Travis himself. I for one regard him as, well, to put it simply, a freak, yet I have no doubt in my mind that he will stay at Port. But if he wants out, the Bombers definitely should make a move for him.

Agreed, Chris Knights showed some really great form last year, but this year has been under an injury cloud and has been limited to only 3 games. Would love to see him in an Essendon jumper, but, the question is; who to give up for him?
