Yea the other thread is getting over flowed and getting close to 1000 posts, i would also feel very special to create a thread for once which creates a lot of discussion:thumbsu:

Ill start us off and then i promise i will try my bext to answer the next persons concern

My plan for next 2 weeks is to go on a trading frenzy

Petrenko to Grimes
Higgins to McGlynn
Next Week
Walker to Austin
Tuck to Cross

I hav a lot of faith in mcglynn that he will deliver after a very inmpressive first 2 rounds
Thoughts???:thumbsu:

mcglynn looks good but i wouldnt be getting rid of higgins. he will be back friday night and he looks like being a keeper averaging 85+ so i would hold him if i were you. cross may fall more this week so maybe wait a week for him. the other 2 trades look good though.

which option is better :confused:

1. Hodge/Kreuzer for Grimes/Cox
OR
2. Hodge/Krak for Grimes/Pav
OR
3. Kreuzer/Krak for Cox/Sidebottom
OR
4. Krak/Jack Roo for Pav/Sidebottam

thx for all ur help guys :)

That is hard...i deffs wouldnt go three, i think you should get rid of krak...and imo kreuzer is a keeper,
I would probs go 2

Analysis

Option 1.
90+80 turns to 190 (80 grimes, 110 cox)= 20 point gain
Option 2.
90+70 turns to 185 (80 Grimes, 105 Pav)= 25 point gain
Option 3
80+70 turns to 165 (105 Pav, Sidey 60)= 15 point gain
Option 4
70+70 turns to 165 (105 Pav, Sidey 60)= 25 point gain

option 3 or 4 for mine. i would keep hodge will be back in 1 or 2 weeks and after he has a rest he could really do some damage in the 2nd half of the year. option 3 is probably the best one krak has peaked and is falling by the week and it gets you cox so i would run with that.

I didnt get higgins as a keeper and i think it is time for him to go, Mcglynn will averaging around the same i reckon, maybe 5-10 points less but that is fine...it means i can get grimes for petrenko!

Well I got 400k in the bank I want to upgrade a defender.

Fisher or Mackie...

I am leaning towards Fisher :)

I'm looking at getting Grimes in for Hill or Suban. Should i do this or not? got 13 trades left and 19k.

Team looks like

Backs: Fisher,Goddard, C.Cornes, Drummond, Adcock, Hill, Broughton EMG Cheney and Suban

Mids:Gibbs,J.Selwood ,Kornes, S.Tuck,Rich,Otten EMG Danger and Robinson

Rucks: Cox,Tippett EMG Spencer, Jacobs

Forwards: S.Johnson, Deledio, N.Riewoldt, Pavlich, L.Davis,Higgins,Didak EMG M.Brown and Warren

The ones with underlines are the 1s i plan to upgrade out of my starting 22.

Would like to maybe get Cooney or Cross but Rich and Otten still have a bit more to make still.

Not sure if i should be downgrading Brown to Sidebottom or maybe Danger to Davenport or sidebottom or continue to wait but Danger does not seem to be making any more money now and i could use the money next week if i was to downgrade Brown.

I think my Rucks can wait because i dont really trust many rucks to upgrade Tippett to.

Not much to downgrade in the backline and i don't have much in the bank so i thought Grimes could be a keeper. Then Maybe downgrade 1 of my mids or backs then get mackie for suban/hill soon.

What do you guys think?

Am quite worried about my exposure to port adelaide this week

So Krak may be on the chopping block

Either doing Hill or Petrenko -> Grimes

and then upgrading one of Houlihan, M Brown or Krak.

I may do Krak -> ROK this week and do M Brown the following week.

Am hoping Houlihan comes in - and broughton is looking like reasonable cover

Fisher or Mackie...

I am leaning towards Fisher :)
I think Fisher would be the safer bet. Geelong's backline has had a few injuries which might lead to Mackie having to play more of a defensive role while St.Kilda on the other hand have Hudghton and Maguire to come back in which will only free him up more to do whatever he wants to.

Petrenko, Malceski -> Grimes, Broughton.

Leaves me with 12 trades, and $163,600 in the bank. Petrenko is on my bench, Mal on the field. Is it worth 2 trades to upgrade a struggling midpricer, and downgrade a maxed out cash cow, yet only get approx 150k for the two trades?

I'm thinking of a few trades this weekend, not sure what to do. I have 16 trades left.

Dangerfield ---> Davenport
Hill ---> Fisher/Mackie

Then next week:

Graham ---> Jacobs
Whitecross ---> Swan/Kornes

If I did this then I would have to play Petrenko on the field this week for Milburn.

Or

Hill ---> Grimes
Milburn ---> Fisher/Mackie

Then next week,

Graham ---> Jacobs
Whitecross ---> Swan/Kornes

Think I might go with the first one. It's less risky and I will have to wait a bit for more downgrade targets for Dangerfield. Plus I will have 100k left in the bank if I do the first one, and only about 40-60k if I do the second one.

i don't like trades such as higgins to mcglynn because you don't have so many trades that you can afford to throw away a keeper in a trade. far too sideways. it would be like me trading houlihan to grimes in the backline - would rather do another trade and upgrade the target (higgins/houlihan) instead if I had to get them rid. I also wouldn't get rid of higgins - don't see the point.

Why is this thread even here? The other thread hasnt even hit 900 posts yet...

to make me feel appreciated and special:p

The other one is getting crowded and many people are being ignored whereas a new thread means that more people are answered to begin with.

People get ignored regardless, its the exact same questions being asked over and over again.

1. Who should I get for Krak/Houlihan?
2. Should I get Grimes or Broughton?

Thats it.

How is that?

Threads don't get 'Crowded'. And even if they do, making a new one helps nothing.

guess TC got his wish - to feel 'appreciated'.

using 2 trades where you downgrade a keeper to a possible non-keeper (Higgins<McGlynn) while upgrading a cash cow to a more expensive cash cow (Petrenko>Grimes) is foolish imo. Your trades can't just be dictated by value; you have to keep in mind your team structure. You don't have enough trades left to get rid of Higgins for a lesser player. I don't know what your team is like or how many trades you have left, but you don't have enough trades to do that sort of thing.

if you pull these trades you're going to need at least one more trade to upgrade one of mcglynn/grimes - extremely unlikely both will become keepers - meaning that your net gain, for three trades, is nothing but a little cash flow.

Which trades are better

Adcock to Grimes
Walker to Mcglynn
Next Week
Petrenko to 75k defender
Tuck to Cross

OR

Higgins to Mcglynn
Petrenko to Grimes
Next Week
Walker to Austin
Tuck to Cross

My current backline and forward lines

Back- Goddard, Chornes, Mackie, Drummond, Adcock, Hodge, Cheney
Broughton, Petrenko
Forwards- Pav, Stevie J, Franklin, Deledio, Gia,Higgins, Skippy
Ballantyne, Walker

Thoughts???

Krak - > Keeper/Premium OR ROK/Franklin
Personally I dont' see Grimes as a keeper, thus Broughton is the better option. People are saying that there's no loss if you trade Grimes when he reaches 300k, but there is. You lose the 110k you're saving initially which you could spend elsewhere (e.g. your Forwards)

Both choices are fairly crap if you ask me.

point taken

I have a very good team though and hav only beams to upgrade before my team is pretty much complete...
