Robinson > Muston
Ziebell > Voldt

Although ROK is represtenting some reasonable value, I think I would rather the Voldt for the final spot in my forward line to make it:

S. Johnson, Riewoldt, Deledio, Gia, Chapman, Franklin, Higgins (M. Brown, Macaffer)

Ive got two options with trades (commited to trading Cornes)

1- Single trade - > Out Cornes in Lockyer

2- Double trade -> Out Raines in Maguire then Out Cornes in Goddard.

Is Maguire a chance for the Saints with Gardiner likely the only out? once he gets in I think he stays in and I think he would be a handy emergency / 7th defender...

And getting Goddard would be fantastic...

But I would be down to 5 trades...

hmmm decision decisions...

Maguire is a shocking choice, nearly as bad as getting Presti in. Check his stats for the past 4-5 years, terrible.

If $$ is the issue try the likes of Henderson/Broughton/Greenwood.

reasonable value... hes averaged 108.5 over the last 4 games.. just 4-5 of reiwoldts current average.. hes too $$ i guess. needed to get on him earlier.. but if he continues to fire.. 375,000 is still underpriced..

You foward lines is pretty good.. i guess.. didak would be the one to look at now..

Now that I look it should I upgrade Ziebell to Gia instead of ROK.

- Similar averages so far this season (mid 80s)
- Similar recent formlines stepping it up over the last month with some big scores

But - Gia is 20k cheaper and also proved he can score in games when Higgins does well. Thoughts between the toss up of ROK and Gia guys?

brought them both in last week and both scored really high

Cockie> Muston
Cornes>Lockyer

With a lack of solid back emergencies I'm set on trading Chad, and Lockyer looks to be the best option.

Really like the look of Muston and with Ablett in doubt and Robinson suspended I'd prefer another midfield bench option - which would leave my bench set for the year too.

Dangerfield -> Muston
Whitecross -> Kornes

Hoping Ellis gets under 90 this week, so I can pick him up nice and cheap for Raines next week.

Or I could hope that Whitecross plays and Kornes get's a low score, so I can do that trade next week, and get rid of Raines as quick as possible, as he is just causing me 0's.

Trading out Cockie already? He's only made around 50K.

I'm assuming that you traded him in also, pretty big waste IMO.

Two options, looking for advice.

I currently have 100k and 7 trades left, my team looks like this

Goddard, Mackie, Chad (who I'm keeping despite the injury btw), Bock, Adcock, Houlihan, Grime, Broughton, Greenwood
Ablett, Corey, Gibbs, Cooney, Hasleby, Rich, Beams, Cockie
Cox, McIntosh, Jacobs, Currie
Riewoldt, Deledio, Pav, Gia, Franklin, Higgins, Ziebell, Wright, Ballantyne

Barring an injury I'll be doing Ziebell to Jonathan Brown this week, so consider it 50k and 6 trades left. The only person left in my side who I want to upgrade is Rich, and my two preferred options are:

A) Trade Rich to Salopek straight up this week
B) Trade Cockie to Muston this week and Rich to Kornes next week.

Trading Rich to Salopek has the advantage of leaving me with an extra LTI trade, which considering how long is left in the season could be very useful. But, having Muston instead of Cockie (who doesn't look likely to play again too much this year after being dropped back to the rookie list ahead of someone who hasn't played since Round 3) and having the super-durable Kornes instead of the super-undurable Salopek could save me a trade later on anyway, plus Kornes is likely to outscore Salopek when both are playing. Thoughts on which option I should take, or any other options?

Cockie comes back after Round 11, when the Eagles can promote another rookie. West Coast demoted him back to the rookie list as a technicality more than anything.

With 6 trades left, hold your fire. If you really want Muston in, give Beams the flick if he's not selected.

But if that was it, wouldn't they have demoted Davis instead?

It's not that I particularly want Muston in, I'm not someone who jumps on every cash cow (and obviously I'm not planning on trading him out anyway), it's that I'm nervous about having someone like Cockie as back up all year with a midfield featuring Ablett, Hasleby and Salopek. Plus Corey's probably out for a week or two and I doubt Dayne will get back in after Collingwood's performance against my mob this week, so having Muston instead of Cockie could earn me about 150 points straight away over the next two weeks.

To me ROK is too much of a risk. Yes he's having a purple patch at the moment but whose to say that he won't fall into the same form he had at the start of season again. I would go with Gia. He has a fairly good average even though his form has seemed to be poor. Much likely Deledio was a few weeks ago your getting the same reward as your would be with ROK for a hell of a lot less risk.

ROK too much of a risk? get your hand off it

He was playing a different role while he was struggling (and yes he might have lost a bit of passion for a few weeks after not getting traded) but now Micky O and BBBH are back, he gets more time up the ground and is no longer a focal point in attack. He also seems to have regained any lost passion

ROK has been one of the most consistent in years gone by and providing Sydney don't lose their 2 main forwards again, he should continue to average 100.

Gia is also a worthy pick and in reality, you couldn't go wrong with either

My trades exactly.

Haven't decide though if i will go Lockyer or Enright. Might come down to popularity, in that case ill go with Enright who is almost half as popular as Lockyer is.

be interested to know how many trades people are still holding - seems to me there are a number who are down to 6 or 7 already. 12 weeks out - seems a massive risk to me!

i think my strategy for next year will be to help my wife run a team and go trade crazy look for overall position - and hold trades in hand for me when i go for the league win

Tossing up whether i should trade chad or not... I have petrenko and hodge on the bench at the moment so i may hav to cop some zeroes...

Want to go Beams to Muston this week and hopefully the following week go sheldon to Salopek

Peoples thoughts??? Should i go Chad or Hodge to Lockyer, or leave it or maybe even downgrade to a player like Ellis or Milburn.

x.ellis i think might be a good pick up. i know he's injury prone but with and 80, 99 and 20 (got injured), looks an alright trade for chad, a bit risky but you get bout 50k and a bit of a unique which makes dt fun.
Yeah, I'm getting him for Chad if Broughtn isn't in. But if he is I'll just keep Chad.

Beams > Muston
Raines > Ellis

Got Hodge, Cornes, Petrenko and Raines currently, so will be coping at least one 0 down back after getting rid of Raines. Very convenient for me that Muston has come alogn with such high scores, had Swift pencilled in for a trade involving Beams but not anymore, Beau is the go!

After this week i've got the following lined up to finish off my team and leave me with 6 trades and around 100k for emergency trades, or luxury upgrades come finals.
Robinson > Bartel
Walker > Ballantyne
Ziebell > Didak

Dont forget roberts murphys also coming back this week i think.. thats one busy forward line with aker, higgins, gia, murphy, hahn, johnson, welsh.. etc.. alot of roaming fwds that might end up moderating down eachother scores.. as they all demand a fair bit of the pill. that was the issue before.. why gia was starting from the bench.. Gias will still be good.. he only tends to hit those big scores when he kicks a few goals..

The game was a blowout as well. so i wouldnt necessarily think hes is going to start hitting 100s now.. where is okeefe has shown that his change of role has really influenced his scoring capacity even in such a big loss.. 126 when the rest of team played like crap... with 108.5 average over the last 4 games.. i cant see that happening on a consistent basis with GIA.. I would be wary.. higgins is the only one worth owning.. i reckon from out of that crop of players.. I rather target players like didak and riewoldt now..
