Conti is our only Tier 1 player.
KB is probably our other one but didn't earn that status this season.
McKenzie also not yet at Tier 1 level. Needs to improve her fitness big time.
Sheerin is the other player that deserves Tier 1 status.

The likes of Sheerin, Conti, Poppy Kelly, Seymour and Dempsey all looked fit this season, but almost all the others are woefully below league standard.

Yassir, Griser, Jones, Reid, Hicks, Lavey, McKenzie, Miller, Egan, Graham, Hosking all looked well below the likes of Brisbane and the Hawks average.
I think Ellie Mc about as fit as she’s been kb is 32 , looks as fit as she’s ever been but agility is slowing as you’d expect with players nearing the end of the line , still a worthy player but we need younger players coming thru

You’d expect her to be Teir 1 up there but with PPayments rising it may not be as big of a hurdle.

Rowbottom 40 games for 15 wins and only one this season after making finals last year.
Would be a bit deflating.
One win and got 9 votes in the league BnF
Only 3 goals though.
She’d be an awesome addition.

Tier 1 players
KB seems a professional person, comfortable as a public speaker and is very accomplished as a footballer.
But what should be the floor for the two Teir 1 players?

A match winner..?
Whatever that means
Is KB still a match winner?
I’m not sure
Think the Tier system has served it's purpose and now out of date - become a hindrance more than a help, yet ironically you hear virtually nothing of in the media when the talk potential player movements. Just Salary Cap it with Clubs having a % they can add to it (if that is not already being done)

It def should be dismantled to assist in levering players from the likes of lions crows and norf

Swans watching our top up Imogen Brown who never played a game this season. I like her speed and has that bit of dare we need. We shall see.

Georgia Gall (Melb)

With versatility across the field, Gall can play across all lines and brings speed and height to her game.

Background as an elite cricketer, and approaches her training and craft with utmost professionalism.

Hope we are still in the hunt!

Not sure how much more they need to see. Was on their academy list prior to coming to us.

Apparently we are keen on Paige Scott from the Bombers according to the AFL site.

Has talent. Certainly doesn’t take a backward step. Found herself out of the side by seasons end to my surprise although form probably didn’t warrant selection.

Can play tall but isn’t. More of a Courtney Jones upgrade and we will still have to find a Katie Brennan replacement.

Can make us better as long as her trajectory is going upwards and not like Roxy Roux’s.

I guess it means they liked her enough to consider her an SSP signing now? Doubt they would draft her would they?

That’s the sticking point.
If we do bring in Paige Scott, I’ll be disappointed.
I’d take Amber Clarke ahead of her 7 days a week.

Scott kicked 2 goals this season and if they bring her in it’ll be another player who doesn’t get in Brennans way.
If Brennan kicks 10-12 goals next year.. that’s her at her best.

We can’t build around a player who has past their peak.

She is only 20yo tho

I'm with you Dog..... Amber Clarke makes us better and gives us a genuine half forward who can rotate through the mids if required. Can kick goals (as a half forward should) and has good vision and kick. These were all her traits when at Dandy Stingrays and they are coming to the fore now.

She was an over-ager, played for the Allies at the U18 Champs this year, probably at the request of the Swans as she was in their academy and she showed enough and impressed in the midfield, to warrant Sydney probably using a late pick this years draft. We jumped in and signed her as she was available. If she returns to Sydney she will end up on a list there or at GWS.

I see Paige Scott going forward as being an inconsistent player, I think Clarke will be the opposite.

With Scott you get a Sarah Hosking type. We already have one of her. Agree that she would be an upgrade on Jones, what she brings is tackles and brings contest at forward stoppage, and like Jones she can snag a goal.

What we desperately need is a Brennan replacement, a key forward/goal kicker.

Any other year outside of a first round pick would say yes as a Hosking replacement. This year’s first national draft the smart club’s will be lining up to raid club's picks, happy to move on surplus players, knowing what they can add this draft.

We have a chance to get in the best young draft talent since Ellie and I’d rather see us go this draft exclusively for the future and draft for well rounded footballers and athletes. There's a good chance we could add a future top 3 B&F winner to our list maybe. If we want to bring in a hard at it, contested type into our forwards, then bring in an Irish player that won’t cost us a draft pick.

Remarkable that mon wins 6 in a row , she will become legend at punt rd , I sincerely hope we ultimately taste the success she richly deserves . Both Mon and sheerin spoke so well , havent listened to the others , but they sum up just how grateful they are for the opportunity to play at the elite level, have a look if you get a chance

I noted that hammer gets high praise from the girls , wonder if he has aspirations to be a head coach at W
I'm guessing yes, and also guessing he will be.
