I don't reckon he'd coach the Crows for all the tea in China, much less leave his beloved Tigers.
Still a amusing rumor that I thought some of you might enjoy.
As you know, they can be a bit delusional these Crows.

It's not as stupid as it sounds:

1) the crows are a flush club, so they can afford to make a godfather offer to dimma

2) dimma oversaw changing the toxic culture at Richmond to one that is the envy of the league today. Repairing the damage of 2017 is the new coaches number one gig, and they know Hardwick has the track record to do this

Personally I doubt it will happen, as dimma is contracted so we would have to agree to release him

And even at Richmond he has a used by date, I don't know when that would be quite frankly..... at the top of his game atm.

This lol rumour of Dimma getting a Godfather offer from Crows makes me sick... (will never happen thankfully)

However, it does raise the point of what is our post Dimma succession plan?
Was ok when we had Rutten and Caracella floating around internally but now?

When did Dimma extend? Too early to talk about adding on more now that he is a 2 time premiership coach?

Crazy as it might sound I rekon there could be a chance of a swap of coaches of Hardwick and Clarkson down the track . Although Hardwick could very well coach us another 5+ years , but he might at some stage feel like a new challenge .

Was reading about the Saints wanting pick 13 from the Dogs for Bruce and the Dogs suggesting 32 was more reasonable. So was thinking if it's worth us jumping in with Butler and our first 2 picks to broker a 3 way trade.

Richmond
Out: Butler pick 19 & 38
In: Pick 13 & 32

Saints
Out: Bruce
In: Butler pick 32 & 38

Dogs
Out: Pick 13 & 32
In: Bruce pick 19

Based on the points value this rates Butler at pick 35 and Bruce at pick 22. Which I think is pretty reasonable value for those 2 players given their current standings.

Saints can then use 32 or 38 for Zak Jones, while Dogs can use 19 for Alex Keath.
Who gets puck 32? Us or saints. I assume us as Bruce for butler and 38 sounds reasonable...

Yes, it is.

Dimma is at the best club in the land, handsomely rewarded, has his boys on the top of the perch, with the chance to add more flags. At the Cows he would have to start all over again, move the family and try to rebuild a broken club. There is no chance in hell he would even consider it.

Dimma has what 2 more years to be our longest serving coach...
I think that will now sit really well with me, especially if he picks up a flag in the next 2 years...
And if he does pick up a flag in the next 2 years, it would probably buy him another 2 years from there...
so I imagine he will be with us to at least end of 2023

If Dimma sticks around for another 4 or so years he will probably be the person who's been involved with the most premierships both as a player and coach. Whats the current record?

You think if he's on $700k and the crows offer to double it he does nothing?

Players and coaches are professional these days, people move for coin (just like we all do)

Reckon Leigh Matthews is on 8 or 9 isn't he?

Edit. 8

4 x playing, 4 x head coach

Oppo fans would melt so hard if we get Clarko as coach once Dimma leaves. One multiple Premiership coach for another.

Haha, Dimma going to Adelaide would destroy them even more.

Turning to their worst enemy and destructor to fix their shambles.

Did I just hear Dwayne-pipe call Tim Kelly a top 5 player in the league?

Lol pls derrwayne, lay off the pipe

Ron Barassi. 17 grand finals, 10 flags, as player and coach.

An offer like that might make him pause, but I don't think he'd take it. If it came a few years from now, he'd think harder, but this team has Greatness in its grasp.

I'm pretty chuffed we're so quiet on getting players in this off-season. Obviously you'd like to keep every player on the list after you win a flag, but now all you can hope is that we get some decent value for those who may be leaving. At the end of the season our biggest immediate need was an Inside Mid and we appear to have addressed that in the short term right at the end of the season with Marlion "spinning in a field of dreams" Pickett.

Think the Brando compo was about right, I feel like we should be looking at trying to get some more picks in next years draft to secure Maurice Jr. if he happens to jump up the draft. So that's hopefully going to be addressed if/when Butler, Kamdyn and Menadue deals are being discussed.

Our top 4 picks in this year's draft are in a decent spot, especially given the depth of this draft and our strike rate on talent with later picks in recent years.
