We probably ended up paying infers for Caddy.
The problem we have with the Saints is they need all their picks for other players. So we will probably settle for something a bit under what Buttler may be worth to get the deal through.
What about picks for next year?

Fair point, but I wonder if they are able to apply the forward pressure of Butler.

Depends, Butler 2017, probably not, though Gresham is pretty good, Butler of 2019, all easily.

Definitely what I'd asking for, even throwing in a this years pick as well something for something juicier next year. They need picks right now

Butler has one attribute St Kilda does not have, he has played in a premiership winning team.

The last St Kilda players to say that was in 1966!
Butler would be in rarefied territory the moment he walked into St.Kilda as a premiership player. St.Kilda has wonderful teams from early 2,000s through to 2012/2013 and couldn't win a flag

Love the dumbass journo on the channel 9 news in the trade room lol stating due to no trades having taken place over the last two days that there will be a flurry of action as the trade window closes. You cant trade on the weekends dumbass! Got to be the easiest job in the world nowadays
Technically they can trade, just can't lodge paperwork.

Will it do him any good in that company though?

so the question is do the saints have enough quality in the under26 group the equivalent to Richmond/WCE/Doggies/Hawthorn last premierships? i dunno

from a neutral perspective those names listed dont inspire that much hope

The problem is that I think we have a better group of young players than St Kilda.

They have had a few from other clubs over the years, like Butler. Obviously Haneberry the latest, but they had a few from Carlton back in the day like Sheldon, Marcou, Jesaulenko. Terry Smith from us.

Lolingwood is offering Aish for trade 😂
Collingwood have placed contracted defender James Aish on the trade table as the Magpies look to manage their tight salary cap to clear space ahead of a potentially clutch year of re-signings.
Industry sources have told The Age that courageous backman Aish has been encouraged to find a third AFL club, with the Pies willing to let the former No.7 draft pick go this week despite him being contracted for another 12
