Who’s the raft of young talent?

And is Ablett, Selwood, Danger and Taylor or Hawkins going to improve next year.
And did they find a Ruckmen?
You could argue that Stephens isn't much of a downgrade on Kelly.
I personally think he isn't.

Jenkins in means they may use Ratugolea as their Ruckman.

Guys like Constable can play football, as a source of immediate improvement.
Plus they bring in young talent for the future.

Taylor won't play much. With Henry, Stewart, Blicavs etc they have enough tall backs.

That's a bloody awful deal if the Saints dont finish bottom 4.

We pretty much Gave Aish away for Little with just a Little Upgrade of Picks in 2020 Draft.

Bit like the Darcy Cameron Trade with Later Picks

Agree with this - but Aish is slow and not physical enough.
IQ has both and likely to be as capable defending.

IQ has a way to go with his 1v1 defensive work to get close to Aish. Seems to prefer to play a sheepdog role and intercept.

We effectively gave them Aish to downgrade our 3rd round pick to a 2nd round.

Terrible deal for us. And we still didn't get a single 1st round draft pick this year like we said we wanted to.
I'm with you Kap.
People are saying future second and just ignoring the future 3rd.
We gave him away for peanuts.

Basically we've upgraded our 2020 third round selection to St Kilda's 2020 second round selection and likely slightly upgraded our fourth round pick (69) moving it back a year. That pick 69 swap might seem reasonably equal, but it allows us to bank points for next year's zone selection.

Small victory, but I also like that we dealt our worst fourth round pick (69) instead of pick 62 that we received in the Cameron deal.

Yep.

We traded a 4th rounder this year for a 4th rounder next year.

We then upgraded to a second rounder from a third rounder. We did not 'get' a second rounder for him as is being suggested.

That's alright. We traded out Aish and approx 351 points(pick 45). For approx 793 points(pick 24). If draft guru pick calculator is correct. It's really neither here nor there, the points will come in handy if Reef does indeed project as a top 20 pick next year, jury still out on that.

Maybe we try and swap our future 1st for another teams current 1st, although I think we were probably trying to do that for the entire trade period. As it was flagged early on as something the club was hoping to do.

Is Nick Daicos in next years national draft?

Aish was a Salary Dump

Moore,Grundy and De Goey still have to Re-Sign 1st. Confident they will but not done yet

Dockers have this bloke that can play defence or on the wing that I think we should go after in next year's trade period. Could use some of that goodwill from having Longmuir as assistant coach to do us a favour.
