No im not scarred and I think you’re missing my point , there’s alot of competition for out of contract young stars , take Peatling as an example , no star but if we were considered in the exalted status we think that we are then he should have come to Melbourne and joined us , we need to work hard and get our heads above the water again and look like we are trending in right direction , I’m sure that’ll happen soon enough , a healthy list will help

Sims' tears of joy?
H.Reid knows how good the kids we just drafted are. Yes, they'll have to show they deserve the hype at top level, but if he wants to come back to Vic, I can't see how he wouldn't be excited at the prospect of growing to greatness with our kids.
What's his alternative? Being the Great White Hope at Essington as they realise they have to start all over again? ****ing Essington???

At a certain point no one is worth it. Reid look sgood. But is he worth the depth and quality we might draft with 2 top 5 picks?

Reid would have to nominate Richmond before any negotiations start and I doubt he’d select a team that looks destined for 3 or 4 years on the bottom.
I agree. We'd need to have a surprisingly promising year to be able to persuade him.
I actually don't think he'll leave the Eagles this year anyway.

I hope he stays one more year with the Eagles. We take our two top 5 draft picks and then have a massive go at Reid at the end of 2026

If we enquire about Reid and Reid wants to come back to Victoria then yes we go all in.

The ace is the current draft hand, you take away the draft hand and Reid doesnt end up at Richmond, thats why Flats wants to wait a year, he knows it.

Yes he is. I would trade picks 1 and 4 for him with a second round pick in return.
Yeah it'd make a trade harder but not impossible. We'll still most likely have a top 4 pick in 2026 plus the ability to trade two years in advance.
If there is a chance to land Harley Reid this year you do it IMO.

If the opportunity to get Reid came up and the price is not ball breaking, then you get the deal done. 2 first rounders or 1 and a future pick 1? How much money? 2 mill?
