$1.35m for 2025 Lynch would be a big swing for the Lions, or anyone. Do doubt that would appeal
Still think he is more valuable to us with his knowledge for our young fwds.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Lions are looking at Lord, maybe even checking in on a Ben Brown (as a last resort).

Suddenly have a fair bit of cap space with to make a move. Good position for Brisbane to be in....

If the Oliver trade progresses, but Dees would prefer a pick this year, what selection would you trade for Geelong’s future first?

I’d read earlier (last week maybe) that WCE were open to splitting 3 which is where the Baker & 9 for pick 3 conversations had started- was reported in the media.

Preference for the pick 3 is that WCE had previously split pick 2 for 8&12 so essentially they’d be open to doing the same for pick 3 and 9&13 aligns to what they’ve done previously.

North’s pick 2 is something I’d hope we’re interested in but just can’t see it happening knowing they’d want pick 6 as part of the deal- less appealing to us to move forward 4 places but then give another first rounder for the privilege of doing so.
Different circumstances to when the Eagles split pick 2. Sheezel and I think Wardlaw were seen as major flight risks (and the next bloke taken was Tsatas so we see how shallow the draft was), and the picks 8 and 12 were right in the wheelhouse to get local boys Ginbey and Hewett. This year they'd be giving up Jagga.

Moving from pick 6 to pick 2 would be the difference between getting Lalor or either reaching for a tall or taking someone like Reid or Smillie. Like I said, preferences, but if I can lock in FOS and Lalor and all it costs me is a pick in the teens to do so - when we're going to have a stack of picks between 9 and 25 anyway - then I'm doing it.

I listened to Brandon Ellis' interview with Trade Radio. Confirmed a few things.

1. Blair Hartley openly told him that Richmond couldn't afford him, and to shop himself around for a good deal.
2. Richmond could only offer Brando half what he was making.
3. He went to Carlton for an interview.
4. He didn't want to actually leave Richmond.
5. He went to the GC and has enjoyed it there, will stay there.
6. Dimma told him this year that they won't be playing him for the rest of the year and he played VFL.

Pretty disappointed that we pushed a good player that wanted to be there out, whilst we keep begging Jack Graham to stay every two years.

Thats not what you were saying when he was with us :)

Did hear earlier in the year that Brisbane had some interest in Sampson Ryan.
Which kind of makes sense, considering their ruck/kpf stocks
As we’ve seen this year though he’s a long way off being a regular AFL player.

Re Lynch going, about the same chance as Cotch said Dusty was to GC.
haha Fort >>>>> Ryan

72. **** those campaigners.

On this Riley Bev quote that Peatling has told GWS he's going to Adelaide: he's not a free agent. Surely he's asking for a trade?

Adelaide have done very well to get Cummings and Peatling. Very good depth.

I’ll say this about Pick 12 from GC.

They want to trade this into next years draft.

Collingwood have offered Noble and a F1 for Pick 12 and a late pick or pick swap. I think that deal is ideal for GC and the way they are thinking.

We should aim for Pick 6 and Pick 20. Pick 12 is not able to be obtained for us.
Pick 12 for pick 4(25)
Do it Pies plz.
Melts from Pies bogans next year will be priceless.

This is what happens at good clubs other than Geelong

Fringe players have to leave if their jobs can be done by someone cheaper
