I know we are most likely to get 6&20 for Rioli but would love to somehow get our hands on pick 13 in some sort of deal.
Here's an article from today on the AFL site!

SUNS PICK TO UNLOCK HOUSTON TRADE?

Gold Coast’s Pick 13 could be the catalyst to Dan Houston’s return to Victoria amid continued rival interest in the prized draft selection.

It was originally the No. 12 selection before St Kilda’s compensatory Pick 8 for Josh Battle shifted it down one spot on Friday.

AFL Media journalist Cal Twomey reports Collingwood and Carlton are among the sides ‘fiercely chasing’ the potentially-attainable Suns pick.

It was reported just a few days agoby Twomey that up to six clubs had eyes on the selection, with Gold Coast preparing to match an early-first-round rival bid for Academy prospect Leo Lombard.

In addition to the Pies and Blues — and North Melbourne and Adelaide from Twomey’s previous report — Melbourne, Sydney, GWS and the Western Bulldogs are said to have shown interest in acquiring the pick; eight in total.

Collingwood — whose interest in Houston remains ‘strong’ — is thought to be eyeing Pick 13 in an arrangement that also involves sending John Noble to the Suns.

In one scenario, the Magpies could on-trade Pick 13 to the Power along with forward Joe Richards — who is seriously weighing up an offer from Port Adelaide — for Houston.

On the other hand, Carlton and Melbourne are each considering sending a future first-rounder to the Suns in exchange for No. 13.

The Blues are a hot candidate to land Houston, wanting to on-trade Pick 13 to Port Adelaide for the All-Australian — but Twomey believes that selection alone wouldn’t be enough to get a deal over the line.

Daniel Rioli is their biggest priority, dishing up 13 for noble would see Rioli remain as a tiger

Pies offer is their future first and noble. if we get 6&23 we will take it as it is still 2 first rounders and as we know this draft runs deep.

If suns got cute and only offered pick 6 then id agree and say get stuffed. He's contracted after all, you want him suns then pay up, pay overs simple!

The biggest issue with compo is comparing it to current salaries rather than next years when the offer is for next year with a larger salary cap.

What kind of dumb campaigner idea is it to compare 2025 salary to 2024 rates? Laura Kane, you've done it again.
She's a moron.

Their agenda started against us when a Carlton campaigner was in charge.

Lockett agreed to come to Richmond, met with John Northey and said, I want to be a Tiger, AFL blocked that and said he only goes to Sydney.

Since then, maybe even before, we’ve been hated.
It goes back to the very start, and is why we weren't included in the first incarnation of the VFL in 1897. Melbourne footy establishment is and always has been very Rule Brittania Protestant and Richmond was Bolshy Irish Catholic. Richmond men refused to go get shot for King and Country in Flanders trenches while the Poms were occupying Ireland, that sort of thing.

I highly recommend George Megalogenis' book 'The Football Solution: How Richmond's premiership can save Australia' for a history lesson on RFC, Richmond the suburb, the V/AFL, and Melbourne culture and politics. Great read.

Omg I just saw Jack Graham hasn’t officially chosen Eagles
Wtaf

Surely it’s because he’s letting the clubs work out best deal for each other

Jesus **** tho, imagine another 4 years of watching concrete boots trailing 10 meters behind every oppo mid

It's only fair if we get a band 2, he is more accomplished player than Perryman & Cumming.

If GWS were given band 2 compensation for both, I don't think anyone would be saying it's a rort.

Agree it should be the same compensation as Cumming at minimum- not as high as Perryman due to the salary the pies offered.

But... you then add the AFL Richmond tax onto it and I'm sure it'll be band 3 and it'll be because of all the other picks we're likely to obtain.

How are you so passionate about getting so much for a bloke you’ve never rated?

In what universe is noble worth pick 13? Mind boggling.

Dimma really loves a battler but does he need noble?

It’s not Noble for Pick 13

It will be Noble and a future 1st Round Pick to GC
For Pick 13 and either a late pick this year or later future pick next year.

GC want to move 13 because of Lombard this year, into next year for more points.
