He’s petulant, I whinged about it in the preseason. The Melbourne practice match, I think.

Didn’t get a free kick, complained about it to the umpire with his arms up, back to the play while the opposition ran the ball out of their backline,

Couldn’t even switch on for the first practice match under the new coach. Such disrespect to Yze and poor leadership.
It's something that annoys me when it comes to criticism of our players. Star players like Bolton gives away stupid frees and 50s yet people will ignore it but will lose their mind over others doing it because they're not as highly rated

Doesn't make any sense to trade up for Essendon's 2nd round pick (31) if we trade away pick 32. Ideally then we could keep pick 32 and trade third round picks to Brisbane for pick 20

Brisbane pick 20 (942 points) for picks 42,43,45,51 (1379).

Blair Hartley has already hinted he might bid on Ashcroft, so hopefully Brisbane will accept this offer.

That would leave picks 1,20,24,32,61,70,76 before trades on Bolton, Baker and Rioli.

After trades for Rioli, Baker and Bolton hopefully that would give us
1,6,10,11,14,20,23,24,32 with 61,70 & 76

We can put together a better offer overall than Collingwood, especially now we have pick 42.

GC will want approx. 1400 points to match Lombard.

GC want future picks.

Our pick 32 and their pick 29 is worth 1237 points. To me that is the simplest swap on the planet for Brisbanes future first which goes to GC.

Picks 6 and 13 come our way. Pick 23 can be left alone for whatever they end up trading for Noble as much as I’d like to grab that as well.

GC will be left with picks 41 and 50 which is worth 685 points. Our best option is to trade them 45, 51 and 61 if they have the list spaces. That works out to be 741 points. It is also worth noting that as long as an Ashcroft bid comes first they will all go up by 1 pick adding more value to GC’s points holding. If Brisbane end up with 2 more mid 2nd rounders that would further increase the points value of later picks after the Ashcroft bid.

In this scenario we would still have picks 42 and 43 (and 70). Those two picks are worth 773 points.

In the event we can’t get pick 10 and 11 out of Fremantle, we must at least get pick 30. Then we can either trade pick 30, 42 and 43 to Brisbane for pick 20 or bundle up 42 and 43 to Essendon for pick 31 or worst case Carlton for pick 34.

Picks 30 and 31 adds another 1235 points to Brisbanes total. With the promise of no bid at pick 1 that would mean they have a minimum surplus of 460 points if Ashcroft gets a bid a pick 2.

Assuming all this happens we would end up with picks 1, 6, 10, 13, 14*, 18, 20 and 24.

That has to be considered our worst possible draft hand. The only exception may be pick 14 as we may be pushed to send something from 2025 back or swap our F2s

Good God listening to Flog Cornes.lol
Reckons AFL should intervene.
Tell Suns to abort Rioli deal.

If either the Rioli or Bolton deal is aborted we will play extremely hard on the other trade, and possibly even push harder to retain Baker.

It’s either rebuild our elite talent as quick as possible OR play for finals next year. Sounds stupid but keeping those three players and having a shortened injury list wouldn’t have us far off the mark. The league is weak as piss. But we don’t want to end up halfway with one staying.

Kane has never got over losing his farewell 300 game!

You are underestimating how poor our midfield is. It doesn’t matter if Big Sexy plays 16+ games, if he can’t have the pill delivered inside 50 he won’t kick goals.

cant wait till the bubble of credibility this guy has somehow created pops. he has no industry 'ins' because everyone hates him, his opinion is the only thing this guy has and it's constantly changing depending on what will get more clicks. he's a media robot.

If the AFL didn’t intervene with the Bowes to Geelong deal then they should stay out of any trade negotiations for the rest of time
Amazing that Cornes is more outraged over the wooden spooners getting a fair deal for their BNF winner than he was over Geelong getting Bowes and pick 7 for free after they won the flag.

That 2020 prelim must make him seethe to sleep every night.
