Boy have I got some news for you...

secret smell GIF
Just had a few victory wanks from that.

Bring him home for less than what we got for him in the first place?

I'd welcome he and his girlfriend back with open arms. Especially the latter.

Poor mans Rioli.
Looks like Dimma is going for the cheap Coles/woolies sausages instead of spending a bit more and getting quality.

The 27-year-old has been offered a four-year deal by the Suns, who are also eager to trade for Richmond triple-premiership player and another attacking, running defender, Daniel Rioli. They are determined to secure both players.

My main concern with him is he has no versatility like Hopper & Prestia. The options are then the kids get no midfield time, Hopper/Prestia play out of position, we move our best midfielder,Taranto, to the forward line or Brodie just plays VFL, which then you wonder why he would come
True but it doesn't matter right now. We're not playing a well rounded team next year, we need guys that can play at AFL level. And considering those 2 guys injury history, even if you just played him when 1 of them were missing, that would still give you like 15 games for the season.

Kids will get midfield time. There will still be a crazy amount of opportunity available. We played kids all year this season with
  • Mansell played 20 games after only 32 in his career so far to take him to 52 games played.
  • Campbell: 20 (0 -> 20)
  • Miller: 20 (25 -> 45)
  • Brown: 18 (1 -> 19)
  • Ralpsmith: 17 (32 -> 49)
  • Dow: 17 (17 -> 34).
  • Sonsie: 17 (10 -> 27)
  • Banks: 14 (6 -> 20)
  • Lefau: 10 (0 -> 10)
  • McAuliffe: 9 (0 -> 9)
  • Young: 9 (19 -> 28)
  • Ryan: 8 (15 -> 23)
  • Trezsie: 7 (1 -> 8)
  • Green: 6 (0 -> 6)
  • And another 6 playing 5 or less games

Were now probably losing Rioli (22 games for the season), Bolton (21), Baker (17), Martin (13), Graham (13), Picket (12), Grimes (5) and Naismith (3) that have to be filled. We can get Brodie and still get games into all these guys AND a lot of games into the draftees.

Caro suggesting that Bolton isn't worth that much and he's unreliable.

For the so called Queen of football - she's a complete goose.

When Matthew Lloyd calls you out and says "Bolton could be the difference for Freo" - you know you're in rare dumb air.

Let's keep him. F**k Freo. The shit stain of a club has never won anything. Let’s keep it that way.
Comments like this from Carro and articles from Robbo are why they should stay in their lane and continue writing crappy opinion pieces.
They obviously don’t grasp the concept that a players price is dependent on how much a club needs that type on their list.

You can’t just say Bolton is worth pick x , because to Fremantle he could be the difference between top 4 and a Premiership tilt or another year just outside the top 8. You’re paying overs to get him.
Knuckle heads !!!!!

This has already started. We won’t be entertaining Rioli leaving unless the offer starts with pick 6. Plus more. What that plus more is will be interesting.
The 'more' will come from how much we're willing to stump up in wages, pay $560k/year = early 2nd round pick

If he is cheap and understands that he plays when our developing kids need a rest or when Louie crowbars a few.

The cheap players we should be looking for in that 26 + bracket should come with a boat load of leadership unless they are cover for injuries and development.
Cheap, in their prime AND a boat load of leadership? This seems like one of those you can only have 2 situations. If they have those 2 things, they won't be cheap tbh

Can't see Rioli going north now that Noble will be at the Suns.
Noble is certainly a poor man's Rioli, but they already have Flanders as well.
Flanders doesn't have the line breaking speed of the other 2 and lately he's being playing more forward and mid, hitting the scoreboard and getting more involved in transition

With John noble requesting a trade to Gold Coast. Will the Suns still be interested in Daniel rioli

Flanders is wasted off half back. Finished the year playing a Lambert-style mid-forward role and was really effective.
