RCD hasn't even played an AFL game yet. How is he on the verge of our premiership team?
He was emergency in 5 games and mentioned by Dimma on numerous occasions as being extremely unlucky not to be included in the team, you might want to liste to Dimma's after match talk he mentions a young player but stopped short of giving his name the excitement in Dimma's voice was very noticeable
He is very much on the verge

Was rated reasonably high as an under 16, I know Cal Twomey had spoken about him as a potential top thirty draft pick about eighteen months ago.

From all reports his development slowed down in his underage year last season and he really didn’t have an opportunity to prove himself this year.

AFL Draft Central released their top thirty power rankings earlier this week which also included about a dozen other players who are “in the mix” and Baxter wasn’t mentioned once. It’s obviously a really hard year to gauge how the draft will look but from all reports it’s hard to see him being drafted in the first two rounds.

I’ve never watched him play but based off his size he appears to be more of a Broad or Garthwaite size rather than a genuine KPD.
Im all good with late picks. We've done well with them in the past :)

Not only Dimma, Jack mentioned him a few times, as have a couple of other players. Hes clearly on the mind of a few at Tigerland. When Dow got his debut he hurt his shoulder that week. Reckon he would have played if it wasnt for that.

Another year older too. Don't get me wrong they are probably our closest rival but its going to be interesting to see how Hawkins and Cameron mesh. They will finish top 4 from all their Alphabet Stadium wins but then again on the wide expanses of the G they will want to be considerably quicker than they were this year.
Yeah the cliff is coming but if they can pinch a flag it will be worth it. Jezza and Hawkins is a great duo on paper and with Higgins, Duncan and Smith putting it down their throats it could be frightening.
I'm not sure I agree with this comment.
Our team is HUGE upside coming with natural improvement. The list improving players people are talking about on here, are not list improving, at all.

Richmond are Richmond, they know where we are at. If we go 100% in on the draft, it's for a reason.
Yeah I get that, but it's not going to be Jeremy Cameron, Shaun Higgins and Isaac Smith type improvement. And yes, I understand Higgins and Smith are old but without doubt they improve cats team next year. They are all in on winning a flag in the next 2 years.

I get that it's fun to mock the cats but they are a worry next season.

Of getting games yes. Of being in the 2020 premiership team no.

GTFO Geelong

Act like campaigners when Kelly had legitimate going home reasons and demanded the world for him. Now a bloody Coleman Medalist wants to come your way and you cry foul. Hope the Giants take you to the cleaners

dodoro-like. Can’t stand them

Agree. Especially if we'll take minimal selections in the draft, upgrading our earlier picks is better value than taking an additional pick in the middle of the draft.

The Dogs would probably be open to trades on their first, with Ugle-Hagan eating their first selection either way. Not sure it's high enough to get a quality tall, but would be an achievable target to move from 21 to 14.

You're right about pick 14. The dogs would trade but we would have to provide sufficient points in early trades to get it done.

The Doggies will trade with the Crows for their pick #14 , Crows have the most assets to offer the Doggies to get Max points
pick #14 is worth 1161 points and they will be looking to get roughly 1500-1600 points to do that trade

Pick #2 is 2517 points which is where the likely bid will come then you minus the 20% they need 2505 points and their pick #36 is worth 502 points

So Basically they will be wanting to get the player with their #14+#36. Problem will be if Crows bid #1 which they wont if they trade together
Cant see any other club doing the deal for the Doggies pick except Crows

Would people here take Treloar for say 500k a year? I would. Our midfield isn't the deepest, and he is quick and a runner which suits our game plan. Our plan also doesn't rely on good kicking either, we are shocking going inside 50. He would become our best accumulator instantly, we don't have any accumulator types.

I'm confused... What are you suggesting the Crows would be trading for pick 14? Clearly they're not giving pick 1. You suggesting they (the Dogs) will trade back further to multiple 2nd round picks? That doesn't really make sense to me, so I'm curious what you're basing this on?

I would. At 500k I reckon there would be 6-7 Vic clubs lining up for that deal

I would for sure for 500k , not sure what our offer for Crouch was but it would have had to have been around that ! Treloar is a much better player than him.

Think we should all be happy that we got a 3rd for a bloke who barely averaged 5 games a year from his 5 years at Richmond. Usually a bloke with stats like that heads straight to Delisted Free Agency.
4 years ago we gave up pick 40 for a Swan named Toby Nankervis. He was an emergency in a Grand Final. Reckon our blokes have a pretty good idea of when to buy and when to sell.

Crows also have #33 + #40 + #50 + #56 +#66 they can trade
But would need to pick up 2 delisted free agents to fill up the list to allow the trade of these picks

Anyone else quietly hoping old mate 71 has gone quiet because there's a doozy in the works and he doesn't want to give away the club's position?
I just assumed he was still out with his missus buying knickers....

That's hilarious GWS matched. Geelong either don't get Cameron now or have to further throw their future away by committing huge money AND potentially multiple good picks. Happy days.

Then you think about how we got Lynch for just the contract alone. Suckers
