weve just given pick 12 and 19 for tarranto

if we give 30 and a future first for hooper we are getting severely reamed
Nothing wrong with getting reamed just before winning the Premiership

Just hope the player GWS want is not Jason Castagna , He just covers so much space on the ground

But covers even more space in some peoples heads

MCCARTNEY ON HOPPER DEAL: We are looking at a combination of a player and a draft pick

Likely this is Soldo. They went after Meek and missed out, so they definitely want one.

If we did lose Soldo, would we look to bring in another ruck as cover? There were rumours of Nick Bryan ...

More player equivalents of what we gave up for Taranto:

Pick 12s
Ryan Murphy
Danny Meyer
Lewis Johnston
Kane Lucas
Lucas Cook
Kristian Jaksch
Ben Lennon
Corey Ellis

Pick 19s
Jason Cloke
Troy Selwood
Ryan Willits
James Strauss
Ben Griffiths
Elliott Kavanagh
Ben Kennedy
Blaine Boekhorst
Cherry picked the duds?

We definitely need cover if soldo goes Ryan isn’t up to it yet and miller is only pinch hitter

News running with Harmes on the radar of rival, haven't said who yet though

Could the FB sauce be on the money?

I dont see Graham going to GWS so unfortunately our future first will be involved.
It's 100% worth it though, especially if we make top 2/3.

I am still wondering if the player might be someone like Tom Brown, who is a pick 17, on low money which suits the Giants, and Kingsley would have a good handle on these young players unknown outside the club. Tom Brown and a second round pick or Tom Brown and 2023 first round pick with a second rounder coming back might be the deal in that scenario.

I bloody hope not. Brown looks a likely type.

We are shit when Nank & Soldo play together so Ivan is always going to be a backup player, but if Nank goes down we could be in strife. Tiges traditionally been good at snagging bargain ruckman.

We were walking into next year with:

Cotchin - 32
Dusty - 31
Prestia - 29
Lambert - retired
Edwards - retired

You're not going to rely on Sonsie, Dow and Graham next year. Shai is a star but you want him to spend more time forward than mid.

Club has successfully managed to bring in Taranto 24 and Hopper 25 and people are worried about paying "overs" so they can argue on Bigfooty?

Club has nailed it.

Tom Brown is a contracted first round pick just like Hopper.

If they want him then it's a straight swap and nothing more. I know there's no actual link here but I'm just being hypothetical.

Just trying to work out what makes the most sense for GWS. Getting a more experienced player would mean a higher salary and if they were on $350k at Richmond they might want $450k to go to GWS, sort of negating some of their salary dumping happening now. The only other thing i can think of is an older player to help Kingsley implement a game plan, but I am struggling to see anyone suitable who would likely want to go. Broad would be about the closest I could think of. Still think it is more likely a very young player.

God just the thought of hopper, taranto and martin at a centre bounce just ****ing bullying their opponents off the ball. How are they getting near the ball? seriously i just dont see carlton winning a clearance in the first quarter next year. Theyre ****ing done.
