Himmelberg would be a good pick-up if cheap but have a feeling it will become a bidding war clubs are always desperate to improve these days.

Grimes i'd only keep if we struggling finding a replacement. I know it sounds harsh but he has not played good footy the last 3 years, I know he won the B&F in 2021 but I seriously don't know how he did he isn't hard to play on anymore.
The bidding war is not a problem

It all depends on where Harry Himmelberg wants to play as the $$$$ will be similar on all the offers
He is going to be a $700k-$800k player due to free agency as clubs will pay the extra $200k to get him without having to cough up a 1st round draft pick

With the demographic of our team he would be a perfect fit both age and position

I know there's probably Buckley's chance of getting him. Probably too expensive, injury prone now, dunno if he'd consider us a flag chance unless we start winning some bloody games. The only Free Agent that actually gets me excited is Nathan Fyfe, practically my favourite non- Richmond player of the last decade. And he used to barrack for the Tige's and begged us to draft him over that lump Griffiths.

Maybe if we hadn't have already got Hopper and Taranto. Not now.

Wouldn’t be totally against it
His value is rock bottom so he probably wouldn’t cost much

Chances of him actually making an impact if we got him given his injury concerns wouldn’t be super high but it would be nice to grab him and see if he can make a few cameos

He’s got one foot in the grave bro
Literally can’t string 2 games in a row for years now

Rioli2Rioli Luke Teal and Archie May playing vfl this week
Lets hope the boys show a bit

but not too much DoDo will be watching

Richmond could lose by 100+ points this week
"It means Carlton could have as many as 14 AFL-listed players to take on the Tigers, plus former listed talent in captain Ben Crocker, Ben Ronke, Liam McMahon and Luke Parks.

By contrast, Richmond has been racked by injuries this week and have named four VFL debutants to run out for the only game in Melbourne on Friday night".

Demons won a flag with Brown, McDonald , Fritsch and Pickett as their forward line mainstays.

Pies are going great with Mihocek, Elliot, Johnson and McStay etc….

I’d avoid any high priced ‘B’ grade forward who will cost the world.

A forward line of : Bauer/Bradtke, Ryan, Cumberland, Bolton, MRJ and Clarke is pretty dynamic and will be fine.

So IMO we just need one of Bauer or Bradtke to turn into a Mihocek/McDonald quality forward and Ryan to be a serviceable fwd/ruck and we are sweet.

I play him defense not forward...

I don’t think he’s worth 800 , he’s not a diff maker on that scale , he’s close to value of mcstay and that was like 5x 600

Last thing we need is another inside midfielder , we need to be focused on the next key forward capable of kicking 50+ a year

Himmelberg and Lynch combo looks good, well at least on paper. Different types that would complement each other.

Lynch deep and Himmelberg playing high , small/medium forwards around them.

Realistically we are little chance of landing a quality kpf in the next couple of drafts, and as with all talls it’s a couple of years wait til they’re ready to go anyway even if we were to snag one

Would you pay 800k for someone to play high fwd?

Is that what we’d be paying? It’s probably overs, but you always have to pay overs to get players to move. And 800k by the 4th , 5th year won’t be huge money
I just think it’s a big big need, with JRs retirement and very little in the way of developing forwards on our list. And Lynch not getting any younger.
What do they say always trade for needs, and in this case he’s a FA so only cap space to consider.

Don't mind paying overs for match winners.
Cameron left and they still prefer Hogan as the main target.
Replacement for Lynch won't be Hummingbird.
(Not that it's going to be easy replacing lynch).

Yeah I wasn’t thinking a replacement for Lynch, rather somebody that can lessen the workload. Allow Lynch to play closer to goal and not have to cover the ground he currently does.
