So, what is the gut feel with Grigg over here guys? Will a deal be struck, or are Carlton as delusional about his worth as Jacobs? Also, I want to clear something up. If Jacobs entered the PSD (without Grigg), would you guys pick him up if he had a $350k contract per year over his head? If Grigg entered aswell, would he be the first preference over Jacobs? Basically, is there a need for him at your club?

AS much as clubs try to get the upper hand in deals there still seems to an element of fair play generally. Most people understand what goes around comes around.

Adelaide have given us a very good trade for tambling. Jacobs want adelaide and adelaide want him. Richmond want griggs and griggs wants them. I doubt we would shit on Adelaide by taking Jacobs ahead of grigg in the PSD if they were both there.

In the unlikely event we traded for both griggs and houli I still doubt we would pick Jacobs in the PSD unless he actually wanted to come to richmond.

Wouldn't surprise me if it were true, we clearly need that type of midfielder, and Wells clearly said yesterday that we had presented a number of scenarios to other clubs involving swapping the picks for a player or players. Having said that, so much of the stuff you hear this trade week you have to take with a grain of salt.

This certainly sounds a bit rich. Put this into perspective.
-Adam Thomson Pick 11 played 28 games in 4 years traded to richmond for pick 42 we payed overs and he is being delisted.
-Shaun Grigg Pick 19 played 25 games in 4 years suggested trade value 29.
-Bachar Houli Pick 42 played 25 games in 4 years suggested trade value 30s.
All players are midfielders in mediocre teams.

....We shouldn't be offering more than pick 50 otherwise we shouldn't be trading for them.

Well UTG said the rumour the second Ablett pick, which is the one you can't use this year (even though it's pick 11, AFL loves GC so much that they won't let it be pick 11 this year), which obviously wouldn't get the deal done, though it might start a discussion.

As to the "first pick" which you are right is pick 7, are you asking me would I offer it? Depends largely on the medical to be honest, but I'd consider it. Whether the club would or not though is another matter, they might differ grweatly from my opinion.
