We aren't doing anything other than development next year anyway. That’s fine, but JHF, like Clurey, Jonas, Mackenzie, doesn’t solve our critical KPD shortage. The oppositions best KPFs are just going to keep getting off the leash until we address the issue properly.
I can’t even remember the last time the club drafted a highly rated KPD…maybe Chaplin, but that’s being generous.

Same article has Melican up for trade. 26yo 195cm defender. Hasn’t been able to get a game behind McCartin brothers. The little bit I remember of him he was there pure stopper that played on big boys while Rampe zoned off. Has played 52 games. Anyone actually remember if his any good?Frampton to Collingwood (afl website)

We have two years to trade in a competent KPD
A bit like our bases hard on for Butcher…
(Slowly backs out of the room)
This ‘Dire Shortage’ has been plaguing our club for the past 15 years at least, including the entirety of Ken‘s reign. It’s unforgivable & arrogant to think you can hold together a key section of your back line with bits of string & gaffing tape. The fact that Collingwood are considering Frampton goes to show the dire shortage of kpds around the league. Lots of teams are screaming out for a defender who can match the big forwards. Good time to be one as you could demand big $$.
If Adelaide got offered a second round pick for Fogarty they should be doing laps around the table with pants down. He's certainly improved this year, even beating up on the shit teams aside, he's justifying selection now. Prior to this year anything more than a 4th as a punt you could get him fit would have been overpaying. I don't see him progressing to being much better, so if Adelaide were offered a second for him, the only thing holding them back would be they market him to their (ignorant, does that need saying?) fans as something better than he is, so after bullshitting his worth, they'd question why he's only worth a 2nd.Undoubtedly Fogarty has lifted this year, after years of looking like a hack, but the guy has kicked 15 of his 30 goals in 4 games against the bottom 2 teams. Take that away and he has 15 goals from 11 games. He hasn't deserved a status of first round pick worthy just yet.
That why I’m going to enjoy all the we will walk him to the PSD chest thumpingEven without the West Coast threat to preseason draft Rankine North would be all over it like a rash in any negotiations with the Cows for JHF.
Wanganeen-Milera would be the one surelyC4 mentioned we are asking around about Amon replacements. I'm very nervous about Brad Hill being open to trade.
One would hope. I still think Amon can be replaced from within.
So in a squad full of first round pick wingmen and flankers what we need most is ... another wingman or flanker.
If he requests a trade home, I would think end of first round Amon compo would get it done, plus maybe a bit of massaging.Brad Hill is on 900 a year. No chance we chase him.
NWM would be perfect, but the cost would be through the roof
