I think the gameplan is so obviously on the nose, and Choco is too stubborn to admit it, that the players have mentally jumped off board.

Hawks fans seem to think He'll take Roughead's spot and Roughead will move to FB. Must have some ability.

Both Adelaide clubs should keep/obtain as many draft picks as possible. Only trades I'd be targetting would be players who are undervalued or out of favour. Might get Rusling on the cheap but as others have pointed out he'll probably dislocate something sneezing. Other than that it's a case of cutting the deadwood.

Jamar may be available too if the Demons get Warnock and/or Natanui.

Rivers i wouldn't bother with, unless he came very cheap. Varcoe and Prismall we probably have enough of those types already.

Some of the names mentioned - Seaby, Staker, Shultz - are you guys serious?

These are gugs of the highest order who are struggling to get games or play even reasonably well for teams that are playing as badly as us.

The way the draft is shaping there will be lucky for 5 trades to be done this year - just leave it alone unless some club offers us a deal too good to refuse.

Ryan MURPHY is the main one we should be chasing. Good size forward playing in the shadows of Pav and Tarrant and looks like he could step up to the next level.

Staker. I like him. Hes taller than Tredders. Hes quick. Hes got fantastic contested marking ability and hes agile. Hes inconsistent but with a new environment he might stand up on a more regular basis. I reckon out of FF he'd be good for 40 goals a year.

Murphy. Im not sold on him. He was given plenty of opportunities to make FF his own at Freo and he couldnt do it.

I would trade Brogan, P.B, S.B, Cassisi, Surjan, Pettigrew as all possible trade options to get the above mentioned player. Geez I would even throw open Chad also.

I have decided it's overhaul time and it has to start with our leadership group and trade em whilst their value is high.

I also am starting to think alot of the supporters are cynical on Williams too and maybe it's time to completely refreshen the club and put in a new coach too.

Not that I would be listened too and Port won't do what I am suggesting but if we did cull old heads in some numbers it would also put Port back a few years in developing also I would imagine as it would take some time to gel.

What i've noticed browsing this thread is that Port fans have a very realistic view of trading. It's a breathe of fresh air from the usual tripe on other boards.

And to think there was talk we were going to give up a first rounder for him. Carltons supporters laughed at us when we suggested a second rounder, now he isn't worth a shit sandwich without the bread.
