Okay so there is a danger in reading posts from oldest to newest......the dangers of setting the bar really high with your posts....the let down can be enormous!! :D

Following me is like following Carlton.

There are highs and there are lows (mostly lows).

I'm pretty sure I also peaked back in '95...

How is Matty Wright training down there?

Has the ability to rack up the disposals and may be a surprise to you guys
I liked what I saw of Matty Wright in his various highlight videos... I'm expecting him to do well as a small forward who rotates through the middle.

That's a nice sight. Harry's hands are massive, he also has a huge arm span.
No wonder his teammates nicknamed him Buckets.
Im predicting we have a gem on our hands in Harry. A lot of people were a bit worried about him, but the bloke is essentialy underaged, big frame and can take a grab. A lot to work with!

One question I have for those who get down to training is Docherty. Is he spending a lot of time with the midfield group? Or do we see him playing down back?

Would love to see him get some midfield time.

It's pre-season - the time of year we love to get carried away.

He won't be a gun, but judging by reports he seems to bring a whole lot of enthusiasm and leadership qualities to the group. Guys like this drag the young blokes with em. So if he does that for a few years and plays a role for the side, it's a win for us imo.

That would be a loss IMO. We have blokes like Ed Curnow, Armfield and Simon White for that. Kerridge is only 22 and has already kicked bags of 6 and 4 goals in only 27 games of footy. It's reasonable to assume that he can be a very good player for another 8-10 years.

Agree entirely, Carlton wouldn't have gone after him if he was just going to plod around carrying the younger blokes, no reason to put a cap on this guy, has shown that he could be very damaging and I can't see why he cant improve even more... From what I've seen at training he looks very professional and works hard, has a great rig for a midfielder and has proven that he can go forward and snag a few, might surprise a few this young chap!

He's also 22 and has failed to cement his spot in Adelaides best 22. Sure his body let him down a lot but I don't think we should be assuming he will become a very good player for the next decade.

It's certainly reasonable, there's also no shame in being a good honest foot soldier.

No shame there, Adelaide's midfield was a pretty good unit with Sloane, Dangerfield, Thompson to choose from.

Anyone who's been to training........How's Foster traveling? I have a feeling he will fall into obscurity never to be seen again at years end, any chance of him getting a game?

Problem is Wright and Van Berlo were getting games ahead of him.
For me our aim should become a top four team in the future and from what he has shown already I'm very confident that he could become good enought to be part of a side who reaches those heights but doubt he will be a major reason for us getting there.
