I cant see him being damaging at all. Hes trimmed down, but i think it will help his midfield cause.

I dont think him being trim will help with his sholder problems.

I know he provides good leadership and that extrovert that the team needs.

But i think with that much money been thrown at him. Put him in the ruck

Todays plug to start the notice board.

Daisy Thomas. ..

Can he get to his former glory, or is it past him?
Former glory? Nah, I am pretty sure even he knows that isn't possible.

If the question was 'can he earn the dollars he is on?' then the answer is ... maybe. If he is 100% fit, I am sure he will be more than just a filler in the team list until a younger player can take a spot off him. His on-field work is still good enough to be A-Grade IMHO.

Nice bit of footage of Silvagni in there too. Not quick, but turns pretty neatly.

I reckon he'll have a slow start in the VFL but will start putting in more consistently in the middle of the year and come up with some big games towards the end up the season.

The medical room: How is your club faring this pre-season?

The Blues are confident they will have close to a full list to pick from for their NAB Challenge games. While they are carefully monitoring the training loads of their more experienced players, most are tracking well. GWS recruitLachie Plowman and veteran Dennis Armfield are behind the rest of the group but are making steady progress.Plowman had surgery on his hip in December and Armfield had a follow-up operation late last year after breaking his arm last season. Marc Murphy, whose troublesome left shoulder was reconstructed post-season, is on course to play in the NAB Challenge. He was sent back for more surgery in December after feeling some discomfort, but has been doing most of the training recently. Levi Casboult is also looking good after having surgery on his posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee late last season.

From a post above.
Plowman wasn't fully involved last week but must be pretty close by now. Looking forward to our new Lachie.
